i think to see how he plays these days for 2 hours is enough to see he is not alright.

you haven´t answered what makes you believe that it will get better with him and not worse.

How many more times! IOW!! A few days ago, excellent gig!!!

I've read this 'keith's doomed' toss on this site for the last few tours.

Twicks last year was superb. Sound was perfect and I was at the front. If I'd had reviewed the following Cardiff gig without being at Twicks I'd of told you how lousy the Stones are. But then I was up in the enclosed roof and the sound was beyond crap!

Have you ever thought that just maybe keith might bepissed or stoned and the two dodgy gigs and as clear as a bell for IOW???

If he really was ill wouldn't that mean he'd be hopeless at ALL recent gigs?

>>this is all going way over the top, too much drama<<

that's true about most of the analysing voices on this thread.

I believe nearly everyone agrees that the sound at the venue sucked big time.
thats what any band on stage will also notice - and finding out that you can't deliver (due to bad sound) doesn't help much to play brilliant.
except for Mick, who is fighter and who fought the odds.

But to say "the end is near" - now that's going way over the top, too much drama.

I'm lookin' forward to Paris.
Fortunately they don't have a roof and no friggin' seats on the ground and will hopefully not turn the stage around.
If it rains, I'll do like the chinese do - I'll get wet, so what?

-- If he really was ill wouldn't that mean he'd be hopeless at ALL recent gigs? --

Yes, but ill is not what i mean,
my point is that this just might be the way he is now, caused by lifestyle.
but then he would be equally bad all the time, maybe a little better here and there but not much.
so, you are right.

unfortunately i haven´t been to iow, i would have loved to see it with my own eyes, cause i am not sure if we have the same idea of what a great keith richards is. if he was clearly like the old one at iow than he might just have been stoned in frankfurt.

i hope this to be true.

thank you Open-G honey! sorry you didn't get decent sound - where were you located, can i ask?
and: if you feel like saying what you saw/heard during SFTD, i'd love to hear your take on it.
(there's a separate thread about it around here somewhere, if you prefer that to this one ... )

(thank you too, Ablett - and good luck! i'm rooting for you)

Hope they can learn some lessons from the US and 1st row.
Please Hamburg and Dusseldorf, the audience is more important than the sale
of Caipirinha.
Will also make my next morning better.

Some of the security guys were into electricity. Almost.
No problem using a camera, mobile cam, so on. But keep the walkway clear for the Caipirinha.
Got a photo of rrronnie doing the sin, at the rail. He actuallt touched it!!! He was probably punished. (rrronnie????). Will try to dig up the photo after Paris. Forgot the portable at work, it's there somewhere. But I think it was during the bows. The photo is so low quality so I almost decided to delete it(just show it to rrronnie).

Sometimes I thought the promotors and some people confused it with a gig of Destiny's Child. Some were dressed like the visitors of a garden party. Caipirinha! Nobody brought beer.

And what`s wrong with Bitch, Wanna Hold You, JJF, Brown Sugar, IORR ??? I cant`t hear what is wrong in this songs.

you can´t hear anything in these clips that´s the problem.
and you can´t see where keith has his fingers and i suppose you don´t know where his fingers actually should have been during specific parts of a song.

there is no way of declaring the frankfurt show an even acceptable show.

Bitch sounded good
It must have been a difficult task to record the Frankfurt show, since the sound was so lousy in that venue

Re: Frankfurt reports here please
Posted by: stoneswashed77 ()

bitch didn´t sound good and didn´t groove, the main theme was only played by the brass section. the guitars played some double stops here and there but did not really play the song.

For me sounds good. I`m know where Keith`s fingers should been.. and I`m know waht i hear.

you know where his fingers should be, you do know the guitar parts of bitch and also saw keith or ronnie playing it?

most of the show keith played the intro, then the band joined in, corrected the timing and almost ignored what keith played until he had to finish the song, which was often a pain.

Just came back from Frankfurt. I didn't believe to see this day but I have to admit; Keith can't play anymore. Very sad but true. On too many songs he hardly played at all and if he did it sounded horrible. I just can't believe it...

"Could as well be praying in a church...or at a funeral....!"

Praying for Keith's health - he was on his knees and they were waiting for if he came up again..... he was apparently like a dog sniffing his dad....
