Maybe his brother then? Would have been good PR for BV if Stonesdoug was wearing that shirt!

He's not going to endanger his position as a quasi-insider with the band by posting bad reviews. I don't blame it at all for either so when you read his reviews you have to take them with a grain of salt.

I see you know the subject, Mr Potatoe Sallad.

My granddad survived WW II; I cant tell you what’s the worst.
"Peanuts".... Pretty remarkable statement about Keith Richards.
To be a junkie is like a personal war.

BTW: As a Historian I find it astonishing with 90-years olds from WW I:
It ended, as I got it, around 1918, didn’t it? With the same logics,
Keith & Mick also ‘survived’ WW II. Which they did. They
survived Blietzen.

And mind you! I meet many 90-year olds in my job. And on a totally private
basis, outside the sauna where my gym is, I talked to a 90-year old,
let go from peaceful Sweden, but he was stationed first at the Russian
war border, then in April 1940, just after the occupation, he was sent
to the Norweigan-“German” border to Sweden. He and his pals fought
with hands (and one German became shot) when the nazi soldiers
came and demanded ciggies and food. That 90 years old "guy" skies
or runs every day. I meet this chap every Friday.

It looks a lot buiser from that perspective. But I don't think it's outclassing the IOW in terms of the youth of the attendees. Anyone there under 40?

For sure not.

yepp, my wife, hear sister and me. Well, and in front row there was also a ~6 year old girl. Perhaops I should have taken my three year old daughter as well, but this might have decreased the good reputation Keith has for her.

Funny pic - it really centers around TE - and he seems to know that?
He doesn't raise his arm or anything, just looks straight into the cam, lol!

And yeah - man that crowd is old!

My two cents on Keith is that there is nothing seriously wrong with him. If he seems "out of it" (which he has looked to me on occasion - case in point, the show at Foxboro in Sept 2006), it's probably because he is wasted out of his mind on booze. True, he spent most of the 1970s wasted out of his mind and it is arguable that he used to play much better back then. But what you are able to do under the influence of alcohol or drugs at age 60+ cannot be the same you were able to do in your 30s. He certainly didn't look out of it in the IOW show; the reason why his performance and stage demeanor can vary so drastically from one night to the next is probably entirely a function of how much sleep he got the night before and how much booze he has ingested prior to hitting the stage.

Yes. But it's almost like the t-shirt stands out TOO much.

I don't buy the whole brain surgery thing. Keith is just getting old and he seems to be choosing the nights when he wants to give it all. He was pretty sloppy at Radio City, pretty good at Giants Stadium and plain fantastic at both Beacon shows.
BV might say that it's just "live music" and that it happens. Maybe. I tend to think that Mick is just more professional that Keith and tries to be on top every night while Keith cares a little less.
It's not bashing or dramatizing, it's just a fact.

I think the design of the t-shirt ought to be changed.

smile: i'm glad it's neither bashing nor dramatizing, but it's more like a perception than a fact.
all kinds of blessings & well-being on Keith and all the Stones in any case

I agree totally. The reason why Mick is always on and Keith is on intermittently is simply an issue of lifestyle and professionalism. You can have the energy and stamina to do what Mick is doing night in and night out at age 63 only if your entire life revolves around training for that. We all know that's never been Keith's approach to life and that's fair enough. The only difference is that he was probably better at winging it when he wasn't ready to go on stage in the past.
