exactly, he is not in the leading position it´s all done by mick, charlie, chuck and the brass section.

for example bitch in frankfurt, there was only the brass section playing the song, almost no guitars.

All I meant was... Keef appeared to show a genuine appreciation for his life and his fans when he took an extra moment on stage and departed last.
I had never seen him do that before and he exuded sincere appreciation in his eyes as he savored the moment, the crowd and took it all in before he left the stage.
LONG LIVE KEEF!!!!!!!

>> you don´t get the point sssoul. <<

sure i do. it's you who's having trouble with MY point:
you keep posting your opinion over and over and over and over, for no (0) reason.
Keith's condition isn't a matter of opinion - it is what it is, no matter what anyone thinks/knows/believes/doesn't believe -
it's not something that we can fix by taking a vote or informing more people or winning a debate.
you've already informed everyone here what your opinion is - thanks - and you don't have to keep harping on it.
it doesn't change anything. you feel better now. so you can let it rest now, right?

... didn't think so. sigh.

you still don´t get the point sssoul.

the video of 1990 shows keith clearly in the leading role.
but smu in frankfurt was o.k. if the rest of the show would have been like start me up then i think you could have said it was an acceptable performance by rolling stones standard.

>> stoneswashed77 << the video of 1990 shows keith clearly in the leading role. exactly ... he's the leader of his band .. untill a few years ago but hey .. let's be happy he's still here around

yepp, so do I. Keith played ok at the beginning adn at the end. He might missed the physical power in Frankfurt but not the generall ability to play.

jagger is running around but he is not leading in 1990.
and yes keith missed the general ability to play.

you bet ur ass my friend. The high res clips from IOW satisfy me. Whenever there's been a recent tour on this board out come the doom merchants.
There's no mention in the press of a failing KR's and to be perfectly honest I fear now that several individulas here will keep this critism up for the whole tour which will become VERY tedious....

Have you watched the clip of the same song from IOW????????

Hello,

it was a wonderful evening with a great band and a fantastic crowd. The setlist was very good and we had our fun with the people who applauded to "Midnight Rambler" before it really began :-))

We sat high above the Stage and had a fantastic view. Please have a look on our photographs (about 2.2 MByte):

i am thankfull there is no mention in press about keith richards. i hope they get this tour finished without getting noticed too much.

ablett you seem to be in the denial corner.
i was there with you in the past. but that´s too much now.

read the threads on that board, there are so many seeing the same thing.

can you imagine die hard stonesfans writing stuff like that about lets say b2b tour.

you will not find any negativ post from me about last years european tour.
but the situation has changed dramatically.

Actually they're hotter 2007 than 1990 judging from the clips, Keith included. The Frankfurt clips were good aswell.

I'm not denying anything.Parts of Werchter were dreadful. But IOW was fantastic. There is an opinion on here thats going way over the top. Writing the man off, giving an opinion that he's at deaths door which I find frankly appalling

Don't know wich press you are talking about, but I've read several reviews about Keith's poor performances.

But I've got the impression you just won't face the truth. It's not that people don't like Keith or the Stones, they're worried and sad to see him on stage in this state of mind. If you read the posts carefully you can't talk about individuals. Actually you're the individual who's in deniel here.

to me he is at death´s door. at least he is short away from not being able to go on stage. some might think is is already not able to do so. to me this is not going over the top.

everything i wrote was actually still a little censored and moderate in comparison to what i really think. i also deny a lot.

sure we shouldn't do that. Ther is still the chance that he'll be back in a few days or weeks.
they cancel concerts if Mick really can't sing. But shhould / do they cancel concerts if Keith ain'gt complete fit!? Perhaps they assumed he was fitter.

Couldn't somebody talk how Keith was like when he was met by fans during the rehearsals?

Every press review I´ve read said that Keith wasn´t looking good nor in good shape, but I admit this is all going way over the top, too much drama.
It´s a 63 year-old man who ruined his health for almost 50 years, suffers from arthritis, had a severe accident and lost his mother recently. Why wonder he´s had a few bad nights, now?
SMU from IOW looks great, indeed, and there will be more like this, I´m sure.
If he continues to play badly throughout the whole tour you can start worrying but one should give the man a break, for a change...

Far from denial Pal. Your missing my point. I'm saying that after only a few shows KR is being written of as being at deaths door. My concern is the scare mongering considering his apparant 'health', not the qulity of the gigs.

Re: Frankfurt reports here please

i am talking about both things (health and quality) at the same time.
this goes hand in hand.
you always refer that all this is said after only a few shows, let´s wait and see.

o.k. we will wait and see. but what lets you think that his condition will become better and not worse. one thing is for sure it won´t stay the same condition.
which direction are you expecting from keith richards?

the only hope is that there is something he has we all don´t know that is healable and than he can recover. but i am afraid the way he is now is just how he is now.

"the only hope is that there is something he has we all don´t know that is healable and than he can recover. but i am afraid the way he is now is just how he is now."

See, that totally makes my point. You have absolutely no evidence that he is ill except his playing at a gig?

You just convinced yourself that he is at deaths door.

If this was so how come IOW was such a success?
