I think schilid's design is great, but instead of "The Rolling Stones Fan Club" i would prefer a line from a Stones song, how about something like "Partners In Crime Since 1980". And to point out it is a web site, maybe a small ".org" could be added to the lower right corner of the logo or maybe right below it.

I think a lot of folks on this board take it very seriously.

Oh, and, fenwayjoe from Shidoobee just reprinted his KEITH RICHARDS ATHLETIC CLUB t shirts and someone suggested hoodies also and it got quite a bit of support, ended up ordering both for myself.
OK, so it's past the deadline for t-shirt design entries. (Sad, because many people were really taking it seriously, putting a lot of work into this. Like Ablett, schillid and all the other folks) But I think BV mentioned he wanted two lines of text beneath the logo.
Since the Stones are again pioneers when it comes to environmental issues... (First they played at Nader's gig in LA, now they're touring carbon neutral) and even president Bush has stated that he's so worried about the carbon pollution that the use of gas in the US must be reduced by 20 per cent...
Well, how about:
One Love - One world. Stones-fans go carbon neutral.
(I think it's an important issue (we all have kids and future grandchildren) - and especially the band would be pleased if their most eager and true fans took a stand and made a statement...)
This is my humble opinion - but it's probably the most important issue we could deal with. And it's in the true Stones spirit.
Definitely NOT a green shirt... Many of us have seen how ugly t-shirts the shidoobeans sport. Nice folks in ugly shirts, honestly. But thinking GREEN is good.

The deadline for entries - it's actually closed. Didn't know untill I read it on Saturday. Sorry, Ablett - I really liked some of your designs. But I'm not the boss. (there were actually people who had put a lot of work into designs, and then discovered it was too late...) Sorry for them, too.
Ablett, please, will you post your idea? I'm curious. When the Schillid-design doesn't work out in 15-colour, there is need for another one. Please post the design.
I figure there are folks enuff here, Ablett, to go for another design too... I havent been given the time needed to follow this thread, but I sure now ya're a pro, Ablett... Anything ya feature I'm behind...
Absolutely ridiculous! This whole idea has been a shambles. The brief changed continually (amount of colours etc) and opinions on fonts etc. were kept very narrow! This whole episode was neither democratic nor fair even though it has been one of the most read and contested threads in a long time on this board! A real shame and a huge opppotunity missed!

We're a few others who feel a bit like you just now... I'm sorry. And I kind of feel a bit responsible, since I started this thread. This was never my intention. I really liked some of your designs. SORRY! (My friend and I were working on a design when we found out it was past deadline, so we just got drunk and had a great time anyway...)
