It maybe easier for me to find photos than Bjornulf, but that is up to HIM.
If we put something on the back, it;s got to be It"s Only Rock and Roll but use the font from the front of the magazine.....

Well, any minute now we shall be seeing if we get approval from Tralala. That is if she lives in Europe, if not, I guess we have to wait a bit longer.

She does. I believe somewhere abround bv country. So yes,we wait with great anticpation for her verdict. At least we didn't go with guantanamo orange.

A couple of statements on things up to this point:

BV, you are very concerned about possible legal issues, and rightly so. I think that it is essential for you to consult an attorney with some experience in the copyright field on this matter.

Lots of folks, perhaps you, may be able to informally ask an attorney friend about the matter. There may be some attorneys among us who could do this as well. Some source of free legal advice.

International differences in copyright law could make things difficult, I suppose.

Next, I think the T-shirt should be Stones red (cherry red?) and the letters outlined in white so they stand out, especially the "I" which is already in red.

nothing more to say at this point except

THE PLEXIGLASS ! ! !

Hey bv, I think your fine as long as you use pictures that are not copyrighted by the Rolling Stones. Don't get all giddy about if you are worried, send me a personal e-mail and i will get in touch with the stones personal attorney on the west coast here out of San Francisco i know him personally, very good friend's. I'm not bull s***** either i will not tell you his personal name but he is in the Davis,Shapiro,Lewitt &Hayes firm. So if worried let me know and i will run some stuff by him and let you know what's cool and not cool.

I would not worry at all about lawyers. The shirt will be printed in Norway. I have all the pictures/images I need and it is now only a matter of getting it done. I will need assistance on the actual design.

Some types, to decide what kind of type looks nice, which do not. The top two look most like the type used on the ABB-album.

Next post will be some types that could be useful for the IORR letters in te image, not that I think the current type is wrong, just to see if there are other possibilities.

And here are some idea's for the IORR writing. Note: I only narrowed the space between the letters: to put them slightly on top of each other is too much work on this monday morning. I could not find the one Schillid used, that one is nice too. These are just other options. As you can see: some clearly have more character than others. That will eventually decide whether you can still 'read' the letters IORR or whether is is just a mess of colours.

And: the blacker, the more visible the pictures will be.

OK, if you are that sure of yourself as it is you, not all of us, who would be the one held personally liable. I would still err on the side of caution as you are not an attorney and cannot possibly know the fine points of the law. Maybe he or she will tell you what you already know, but then you can rest assured.

None of this means we cease work on the actual design.

Stonesfrk - I think your offer is kind and wise. Thank you.

Aaah, thank you! I think we're about finished here. So do you think it looks best on a black shirt or should we do Guantanamo-orange?

Yeah I suppose so. Well, there's a whole lot of bumping goin' on. I'm curous what the next step in the T-shirt process will be.

And I'll repeat my question about transferring methods: what kind of fysical process/material is used for the transfer, so in what way should the image be prepared for printing? And: is multi-colour again in the race as an option? I thought it was ruled out, but I see a lot of posts popping up with requests for the multic-olour Schillid-design. I think that the Ablett-designs are also very nice, and worth taking another look at.

When we post our preferences, we should also think about the producability. It is not an easy question. Do we want the Schillid-design? And if the only option is single-culour, can we still use the Schillid-design, or should we then look for another one which has better chances in single colour?

Jelle

PS, Rooster, maybe Tralala can indeed easy our pains and post her design. Tralala?

I wonder how visible the IORR members will be this summer,

For those who dont fancy T-shirts is there going to be anything like
a small pocket sized, cloth patch that could be sewn onto a shirt or jacket?

Something I made, not exactly a proposal for the shirt, just a thought i wanted to work out. You think it is nice? Could be good as a Lacoste-type-logo if the chosen design doesn't have a lot of potential in small size.
