There's no need for that. If you have an issue with him, be civil about it and explain your point of view without resorting to this type of thing.

We are nearing the end of this process, let's not destroy it with such incivilities so that we end up with NO shirt.

Thank you.

I am 50+ and this one is still my favourite. As I said before, it has it all and still is very simple. It says Rolling Stones, it says fanclub and it has IORR as a website. What more/else do we need? Besides that it looks great.

forgive me...i haven't read every post on this thread..but i've read a few...

i think the shirt definitely needs to say "www.iorr.org" - but the web address doesn't have to be large and dominant. "IORR" should be prominent (obviously)
and if there is not something that blatantly screams ROLLING STONES we can't assume that anyone would automatically think "It's Only Rock & Roll" when they see the acronym IORR......so it might be necessary to include that (some examples have included both IORR & the song title).

Anyway...just my 2 cents. you all are doing a fine job debating these issues. carry on. Just didn't want someone to read IORR as a word and mistake it for a blue donkey that used to live at Brian Jones' house.

love that shirt! as for not including the .org that is a HUGE mistake. I know from my experience with shidoobee and the shirts the majority of ppl that see the shirts have no idea what shidoobee is they are just attracted to the shirt, especially if there is a group of us, the ask how to find us and then they notice the web address

I'm a web developer and ehy you should,t promote your domain over your brand IORR is so small that most ppl at a show or event will presume that its just your fave song/album

Look Guys

bv is trying to save you money.

Wayy back in this thread people are saying keep the cost down.

Can we not download the design and get it printed ourselves.

If there is one T Shirt design it will cost less to reproduce .

We now have 2 designes or more ?? that people want S M L XL Mens + Ladies cut T Shirts S M L .

The more choice you want the higher the price is going to be.

Yes I too like Abletts new design a lot.

But a line has to be drawn.

How about bv sets up a preorder and we choose how many of each and what size we want.

He can then give us an idea of cost.

I am also happy to send payment before the T-shirts are printed .

This way he wont get stuck with a load of shirts in an unwanted size.

If you really want the IORR.org on the T Shirt then nothing stopping you adding it after you get your shirt

BV dont take this the wrong way.

To ME it seems like this is no longer an IORR.org Member shirt but it has become a IamBVhearmeroar.org BV seems stuck on one design even though there have been better ones.

Just my .02 cents

I am sufficiently computer savvy and I frequest the web, but i can guaranty you that when i see a word/phrase on a shirt i dont run to the internet to see if there is a web site associated with it.

I have to agree that to someone who is not aware of this site, but knows the Stones, the song and the album would be the first to thoughts that come to mind. Ater that one would probably think it is a Stones concert shirt; again no reason to "look it up" on the internet.

If your goal is to promote the site, the why not add the .org? If we have too much traffic already, then leave it off.

I also think you are incorrect when you say that coke would't add their web site. I am sure I have seen numerous ads for large companies that name their webs site. And certainly commercials/ads for movies name a web site to go to for more info. I expect to buy the shirt either way, but from the beginning I laways assumed the web site would be on it somewhere...

just my two cents

I believe that to anyone who doesn't have the web or PCs as a work station, the extra info in DOT ORG (.org) is extremely usefull.
IORR is a brand only known to hard core Stones-fans.
That might be a shock to some, but it's still a fact. Ordinary Stones-fans (ok - we've taken it a bit far...) think that rollingstones.com is an ok site. They don't know a thing about measuring hits, how big a web site is, or that if you can't find your site when you put DOT COM (.com) after an assumed name, you can try others.
Please take this into consideration before a final decission is taken.

I agree .org should be on the shirt. If it's not clear why I'm wearing this thing (proud iorr poster) then it's just another stones shirt, and I have plenty of those.... No thanks.

bv,
if you won't consider ablett's design, (last one posted above), will you
consider changing the colors of the lettering to one color, say white? The photos show through on any color and I think your tendency to avoid cheesiness, as you say is enhanced with just the one color. Also, I think if we had white on black or another color like blue or red on black, the letters IORR show up much better and would be more visible to the band, and easier to recognize.

(I also agree on needing the .org.)

Sorry bv theiorr web site is not COCA COLA> I don't want to upset you either, It seem's to me everyone want's iorr.org,including myself it look's way better and everyone want's to wear it. Why Butt Head's with everyone? You know you might cink some cash in this deal and loose it all because nobody seem's stoaked at what you are doing to the shirt. This is a private web site. This is not a officiall stones site so why cater to the stones and not your own creation which started in 1980. ARe you scared at what mick might think of you? because your shirt is'nt to stonesy. As far as albett's design for me is nice but a shirt to wear outside a concert, there is no way anyone is going to recognize anyone in that shirt in a stadium. You need those color'''''s from schillid's design on the front. If i were you bv,i would at least go with the majority if your spending all this time and money just mo before this whole t-shirt thing bum's everyone out. Find out who want's what before this whole thing goes to s***. There seem's like there need's to be some sort of vote or at least some direction, because this is going to spiral "OUT OF CONTROL"

If you see a word or phrase on a T-shirt, do you automatically associate it with a website and then google it when you get home to find the website?

Re: The official IORR T-shirt

I think ".org" has to be there, I certainly wouldn't have bothered try to find it online just by seeing IORR.
There's so many fan-club and wierd people trying to dress alike, I wouldn't have bothered to check the freaks out, online, unless I knew there was a messageboard there.
And all of these rs.com shirts and the bootleg-shirts...with extracts of lyrics.
Maybe somebody will look for the IORR shirt at the official T-shirt-stand.
If BV doesn't want more people to join the forum, I'd understand that he wouldn't "org" to be included. There's quite an orgy here allready.
But...anyway, I think what the majority of people would like, that is the important thing.

Not that it matters anymore but since I was working on the black t-shirt version I am posting it anyway. This whole thread is starting to get pretty ugly with all the name calling and all. This is my simple one color design.
