Currently listening to Virgin Radio's annual countdown of their listeners' Favourite 500 Songs - they've just got to no. 280 and it's Angie...

If they put up the whole list on their website later I'll check out how many other Stones songs have made it.

...the title song, Promised Land...I've heard a different take of it, some years ago. A friend had it on an Elvis CD.
I thought that alternate version swinged better.
Somebody knows where I can find it?

I was so inspired by the Thin Lizzy thread that I put on Black Rose. A fantastic album, havenĀ“t listened to it for a long while. I played in a cover band ages ago, and we used to do Waiting for an alibi, always a big crowd pleaser that one.
