Now it's over and done, you won't find me in yesterday's world, now yesterday's gone. Ok, somebody please cut me off know.
Thunder On The Mountain, Der Dylanster. Gonna raise me an army, some tough sons of bitches ... I sucked the milk out of a thousand cows. Brilliant lyrics, simply brilliant.
Been listening all week to Odyssey & Oracle by the Zombies. Outstanding 60s psych-pop. Also Nashville Rebel - Waylon Jennings box set. Are You Ready for the Country?
The album, THe Promised Land, Elvis, ...the title song, Promised Land...I've heard a different take of it, some years ago. A friend had it on an Elvis CD. I thought that alternate version swinged better. Somebody knows where I can find it?
I was so inspired by the Thin Lizzy thread that I put on Black Rose. A fantastic album, havenĀ“t listened to it for a long while. I played in a cover band ages ago, and we used to do Waiting for an alibi, always a big crowd pleaser that one.
