Count me in for High Wire.

"Highwire" makes perfect sense in the world we live in today, even moreso than when it was released.

yeah, they prefer more timeless subjects, like Oral Sex. (i.e. Rough Jvstice) I'm still waiting for a more topical version of Start Me Up, though - something more cyber-age, like "boot me up."

All good calls.

So far it looks like: SHE WAS HOT, SOUL SURVIVOR, LET IT LOOSE, HIGHWIRE, WINTER, TILL THE NEXT TIME, and TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE are the big favorites (not counting anything off of ABcool smiley

Even though I like the following ones a lot I just can't see them playing these for various reasons:

DANDELION - in some Rolling Stone Mag interview I read with Jagger a while back he TOTALLY made fun of this song, like it was a gigantic joke.Don't think he'd do it.

SLAVE - great riff but what's Jagger gonna do? There's not enough singing on it.

THINK I"M GOING MAD - doesn't sound totally finished to me, could have used some more attempts

DOWN IN THE HOLE - a great song but the fade in/fade out makes me feel like it was pulled from a much longer jam. Kinda has a not finished feel to it.

JIGSAW PUZZLE - a fine song that starts off great but is very wordy (didn't Jagger say he hates that - about Hand of Fate - in LIVE FLICKS?) and eventually kinda goes no where

I feel that since the UNDERCOVER album never got a tour it would be nice to revisit. SHE WAS HOT / MUST BE HELL / TIE YOU UP (PAIN OF LOVE) / TOO MUCH BLOOD are all songs that would be grear live.

What did Jagger do during the last eight minutes of Can't You Hear Me Knocking on the last tour? When The Whip Comes Down was extracted from a long jam & they've done that one.

he played harp and percussion

Theif, he played harmonica and maracas (the Mexican shakers, can't spell them). Did you watch the DVD? He spends a lot of time on harp + I doubt the whole song is 8 minutes (maybe 8 total) but the instrument break is more like 4 or 5 at the most. Yeah, I think I have the boot of the long WTWCD somewhere. The fact is it doesn't sound like it was cut up and there's plenty of words for Jag to sing. It has the STRUCTURE of a typical song - SLAVE and DOWN IN THE HOLE sure don't. HOT STUFF has a lot of words compared to SLAVE. I'm not saying I don't like those songs, I 'm just saying it ain't gonna happen LIVE due to many reasons including the ones I gave...........

There are so many, its really unbelieveable that the Stones have not played almost half of the songs from their catelog. Us set list whinners clearly have a point with our bitching.. A few I would love to hear off the top of my head...

Slave
She Was Hot
Mother's Little Helper (playing this in 66 is way too long ago for such a great song)
Had It With You
Down In A Hole
Backstreet Girl
Tie You Up
Look What The Cat Dragged In
Let Me Down Slow
Highwire
Dirty Work

Amanda Jones would be interesting. Played correctly it would rock. I just think the production on a lot of the pre Beggar's Banquet stuff is great to HORRIBLE - just listen to how No Balls CONNECTION sounds (and THAT is a GREAT song)

Believe me,I've watched quite a few dvd's from '02/'03.I know what he played, but he also spent a good amount of time drinking bottled water.
Check your boots.By the end of the tour Can't You Hear Me Knocking was clocking in at ten plus minutes easy. The first part of the song is around 2:30.Some of the versions from the U.S.tour were about eight minutes long but they got to be longer than that.I figure that if they were to play Slave in concert,he would find something similar to do while not singing.I'm not saying its likely seeing that Beast Of Burden is a big rarity these days, but, the lack of lyrics doesn't have to stop them from playing it.
As far as Down In The Hole goes,I doubt that a fade in on the studio cut has anything at all to do with why they haven't played it or why they may or may not play it in the future.

Mine would be

Long long while
Sittin' on the fence
Back street girl
Something happened to me yesterday - Imagine a Dixieland Band walking in to support the Stones: magnificient!

Sorry, only old ones!

But besides that if the Stones were not that rich and somehow bored I could imagine an intimate concert at the Montreux Jazz Festival as suggested by Mr Claude Nobs where they only perform some bluesy rarities like Down home girl, Tell me baby, The under assistant West Coast promotion man, Oh baby, Silver train (and of course, some newer rare numbers and some of the less known rockers).

Could be great fun and make an excellent live album. But then, why should they take the trouble of rehearsing and play someting new when they can fill any stadium with the warhorses?

In a strict sense this song has already been performed twice on the 1973 Tour of Europe, at the first two concerts in Vienna and Mannheim

Jagger already took a break in 1976 during the extensive solos on You Can't Always Get.. and during Billy Preston's two song set, leaving the stage. Perhaps he started it already in 1975 (or even 1973?).

Sure.I have no problem with it.He plays what he needs to play and once in a while he doesn't have anything to play during a part(s) of a song and the song still can work.

Are you serious?! That is probably THE worst song they have ever done. I think I would Boo if they played that.

For me:

Jigsaw Puzzle
Jigsaw Puzzle
Jigsaw Puzzle
Jigsaw Puzzle

Alternatively

I Don't Know Why
Who's Driving Your Plane
Till the Next Goodbye
Where the Boys Go

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

We can do a call-and-response on the vocal chorus - Cindy needs to recruit some more girls for "where they go."

Yeah, I love that song. We've talked about this before I think.

I always play it when I'm going out for the night driving in my car, it puts me in a fun mood.

Paint your face, dye you hair, see ya round the back!

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

I'd go for a all bluesed up b-stage.

- Who's driving your plane
- Confessin'the blues
- Fancyman Blues
- Shake your hips

I'm into their 90s stuff, so

-Jump On Top Of Me
and
-Highwire

are a must in this list.

From the current album A Bigger Bang, I'd like to hear

-Let Me Down Slow
-She Saw Me Coming
and
-Driving Too Fast

But I'd be happy if Don't Stop returned to the playlist as well.

I would be very dissapointed if Keith did not do "Coming Down Again" this time, since its kinda funny as well as a great song for him.
