Help needed in '72 Tour Project

Hi all. In this thread [www.iorr.org] you can find that Drake, the one of the famous sound mixing works is so glad to try a mixing work with the MSG 26/06/72 Soundboard boot (Welcome to NY) and the audience recording, to give the SBD the atmosphere it lacks. Problem is, the widely available boots from this date take the fist part in AUD quality and the second one in SBD, but to get this project done the second part in AUD is needed to mix it with the SBD.

So if anybody is willing to send the second part in AUD so Drake could do his duties, I'm sure everybody will be delighted with the results. Thanks in advance!

Great idea, my blessings! When hearing WTNY I always find the 2nd part of the show somewhat of a letdown, no matter the sound quality

So what Drake basically has to do is to cut out the sound of the crowd from the audience source and mix it with the sb. The second should be easy but the first part, is that feasible?

If he succeeds that could be the boot of the year. And I would know a nice follow up: Pittsburgh '72, a performance that's even better than NY IMO, but a dry soundboard with a smothered crowd that seems to stand outside the venue. I know there is an audience recording as well...

Just to recapitulate: the end product would be a complete MSG show with the 1st half in AUD and the 2nd half in SB with the crowd of the AUD mixed in. Right?

Yes. No SB to mix with from 1st half.

This has been done about a zillion times...It should be easily downloaded somewhere.

I monitor several torrent sites but never have come across it. Could you give us a clue, stone-relics?

I put this on tape years ago, and several friends have done it digitally...

its pretty nice. Actually, there are three sources needed to make it complete. 1st part is DECENT audience, then soundboard from the TMOQ record, and the end part is REALLY bad, from a third audio...

So there isn't a second part in the same quality of the AUD first part widely available??. I would have guessed ALL the audience tape would be the same quality???

No, the first part of the show ends abruptly...just where the soundboard starts...the complete audience tape is REALLY rough, but I used it anyway, to complete the concert.

That's a real shame...I feel guilty about the whole thing.

Stones relics: thanks for the info. It's a shame then, as Erik said.

BTW, Erik, why do you feel guilty??. It was a real good idea, after all.

(A bit of commercials now: I don't feel guilty at all because of we spaniards beating Ukraine 4-0 yesterday and doing the real "jogo bonito" of the World Cup!! grinning smiley )

Because I should have known about the bad quality of the 2nd half, before asking Drake.
I just assumed it was the same quality all the way.
