Come on people - he has a mild concussion. (just as I thought)
Now stop worrying, this is nothing too serious - I had it a couple of times already. They have to keep you in hospital for some time and check if there is no bleeding in the brain, but this is just to make sure. He'll be fine smiling smiley

It's on comcast.net. Apparently he hit his head when he fell out of a palm tree! And has a mild concussion. I think he will be absolutely fine and it was more of a precautionary measure. I think it's pretty cool he was up in a palm tree. Maybe he was looking for a coconut to make a cocktail!!

Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has been taken to hospital in New Zealand after injuring himself while on holiday in Fiji.
A band spokeswoman said Richards had suffered a "mild concussion" and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The legendary musician is mid-way through a world tour with the famous British band.

The band most recently played in New Zealand and start the European leg of their tour in Barcelona next month.

"Following treatment locally and as a precautionary measure he flew to a hospital accompanied by his wife Patti for observation," the spokeswoman said.

Normally a mild concussion takes 5-7 days of recovery and then it is okay again...

No need to worry.....

i asked a friend whos in med school, he said that a concussion to the head if it was not severe would take about 1 to 2 weeks to fully heal. He said that if he was the doctor, he would have hospitalized him due to his age, just to make sure of no memory loss or other symptoms. he also said that he should be fine, given the info that we know.

ok i am feeling a little better too, let's hope that's all there is, it does sound logic to hospitalize him just for observation anyway...
Get well Keith!
