Is there a decent version ONLINE of the movie that I can buy? I noticed the DVD runs a little too fast.

"Still Life" is a great album. I really like it.
It's short and concise. "Hampton" is too long.
Everybody I knew loved it at the time of it's release.
To me it went hand in hand with "Tatoo You".
The band was on a roll from 1978 to 1981 with 3 great
studio albums in a row, and "Still Life" was a great
closure.
It was the last thing to happen until their swan
song in 1989 ("Steel Wheels").

Received today the Virgin version. I already had the old CBS version, but I heard the Virgin sounds better. Does anyone know if this is thrue?

No love for Undercover?
No love for Dirty Work is perfectly understandable.

Fans of the Stones from the Ya-Ya's years or even the Love You Live years probably thought Still Life sucked. I know I did. I can see new fans liking it though...

I think you are correct.
The three albums can't be compared. They are all different. I'm glad to have all of them.
Still Life has so many great songs to listen to and it's different. It's not chocked full of war horses. It rocks. It's short and sweet. I love it.

I remember buying the LP when it first came out and wishing it was a 2 disc set. It always seemed short-changed and lacking something. Live stones were limited aside from poor-sounding bootlegs.
Today, we have the complete Hampton concert which definitely supercedes STILL LIFE.
