So?!Why this guy was in the studio with the boys?!?

Let´s hope Mick plans to work with Carl Falk only on some of his demos obviously rejected by the Stones. It´s been said he has loads of demos, surely not all of them are suited for a Stones-record. So possibly he thinks of a future solo-album.

We can only hope that you're right.

Say it ain't so!!!
Truly upsetting if this guy goes anywhere near a Stones record.
Another sign that Mick might be a bit out of touch with reality and Stones fans - although fans of Mick solo might like it?.
Any hopes of a blues and/or rock album by the Stones have been dashed and replaced with visions of hell like this:

Old habits Die hard

first off -this "blues record " is a figment of your imaginations.there was never any "blues cover record" or blues flavored album and there never will be so forget it.
the band do blues covers when they're working all the time.there are bootlegs of songs from almost every record that are straight blues, maybe one makes it to the record.

here's a qoute from the "ask keith" section of his website.

FAN:keith would you ever do a cover record of old blues songs?

KEITH: NO,because i love the blues but it's only a small part of what i do.

this producer or whatever is probably only working on one song, the commercial single.the days of the stones putting out another great blues based album are over.they don't have the chops at playing or writing,we've had 35 years to figure that out,it should've sunk in by now.

With the mention of the Stones doing some recording at Chess Records I'm not sure how there wouldn't be some blues numbers on the new record.

Huh. One Direction's main producer is Jake Gosling, who just did the third Libertines album and while it's not as good as the early ones Mick Jones did, at least it has some rock and roll, and some acoustic sounding stuff that sounds like real guitars, so he gets it a bit. I don't know anything about Carl Falk.

Read his resume. He has written a good part of OD's songs.

Enough. Please!

This is supposed to be a thread about New Rolling Stones studio album due out in 2016.

Not about the boy band "One Direction". (Pedantically abbreviated to 1D, not OD).

Please, let's get back to rumours and hopefully news about a New Rolling Stones studio album due out in 2016.

Thanks.

Of course it was smiling smiley

It's still all we got about this album right now (+ Bernard's pic of Keith on Facebook), so it's perfectly plausible to discuss it within this context, to put it mildly..

You are right. Unfortunately we can only speculate about what's happening because we don't have solid infos. From time to time there's always a photo or an interview where somebody tells something that the Stones did not. Take Sasha as an example. For weeks we knew that Lisa wouldn't tour SA but we didn't know if they would hire somebody for the job. The Stones only announced her as an addition for the tour after she posted a pic with Mick weeks (or months) prior to that official announcement.
