I don't think they'll skip it either. It may just be played at its usual set list spot.
I think your set is spot on based on last years reports.

Still hope they will go for a B-stage set tho, that would be a cool change.

i think they should try Purple Rain; or maybe Let's Go Crazy; something from Prince.
and also Wilson Pickett. Mustang Sally would be good for Keith's solo spot. only probably Mick should sing it. at least the harmonies; is there any harmonies in that one?
I don't think so. just Mick then on vocals. Hope this helps.

Miss Amanda Jones or All Sold Out. I'd go for either.

Okey, Happy Midsummer (summer solstice) everyone! Here is my final setlist for the tour premiere tonight.
I have made a bold move by leaving out Brown Sugar, Midnight Rambler and the modern warhorses IORR
and YGMR. Here it is, polished and done!

1. Street Fighting Man
2. Let's Spend The Night Together
3. Tumbling Dice
4. Sad Sad Sad
5. Ride Em' Down
6. Out of Control
7. You Can't Always Get...
8. Play With Fire (b-stage)
9. Sweet Virginia (b-stage)
10. Sympathy For The Devil
11. Slipping Away
12. Before They Make me Run
13. Honky Tonk Women
14. Miss You
15. Paint It Black
16. Start me Up
17. JJ Flash
18. Gimme Shelter
19. Satisfaction

Switch Slipping Away with YGTS and I think your dead on. Perhaps Angie as a 3rd B Stage song. If Rambler is out, that allows time for somg #20.

You're most probably right, TD76. But I can't bother changing it once again. I think it will be pretty close to the real one anyway. Hopefully...

Enjoy the show Stoneage, I have a short to do list before I head up. Rain should stay away!

No way they will leave out Brown Sugar. It will be played on every Stones concert until the last one. It's one of their biggest songs.

I Don't Believe They'll Play - Brown Sugar - On This Tour

Someone had noted that they hadn't heard Brown Sugar during rehearsals, here's my take

After watching U.S. TV for the last few years and certainly recently, the tone within the country is racially charged at least, look at "The Biden Response" today on CNN/FOX/MSNBC... It is because of this I believe that the Stones WONT PLAY Brown Sugar on the U.S.Leg.

Mick changed the "Scarred Old Slaver" line many years ago, but the objectification of Black Women as it would be characterized would be bad publicity and The Stones don't do bad P.R.

I think it'll be back just not now

Fake news. Mick will always try and placate to 'popular' media and politics so you may be right but Keith stays mum as he smartly should but he is no lefty and always anti 'pop culture' Remember when Clinton was backstage for the Shine a Light' gig...Keith saw right through it all, he's always had that insight.

"Brown Sugar" has been played at every Rolling Stones concert since Altamont. They don't need to rehearse it. They can play it in their sleep.

Maybe an instrumental version played by the backing band as Keith, Mick, and Charlie stroll out to the B-stage for their acoustic set.

lol jk- I bet $20 they play it in all it's ragged/warhorse glory!

I believe they will play Brown Sugar because there is not a valid reason to not play it. It is a song that has been great since that day in1969 when Mick played it Ike and Tina and that will remain great as long as the Stones play it live at their shows. Once they stop play it then the voices against it will have won a little.
Rockandroll,

OK,we’re gonna have what I call one of Lem’s teachable moments.

Today We’re gonna learn about “The Formula”.

Our subjects will be The Kardashian’s and News Media and we’re gonna apply the formula to each of them.
The first ingredient in the formula is conflict so for the Kardashian’s we have two of the girls fighting with each other, one of the girls fighting with someone else,a business crisis or some other problem to draw your interest.
And then (and this is where you come in) we go to a commercial break)and dollars are made.

For our next test group we have the news media, they are the Kardashian’s x 1000.
Remember our first ingredient, conflict.they ramp it up to the extreme.oh my god the future of the planet is at stake, war is gonna break out, race problems are at a hair trigger, plague and pestilence waiting to be unleashed...and we break for a commercial.and dollars are made.

It’s all bullshit and theater,The Rolling Stones have been in the game for half a century and they know this,if someone uses their name the formula applies, conflict, interest = dollars.

This is a very complicated way of telling you there is No Mthrfckng way they drop Brown Sugar from the set.it will never happen,I am 1000% sure ,I promise you.if they don’t play Brown Sugar tomorrow night everything I say is crap and I will never post on this sight again.

Don't forget that recent (ridiculous) article from Chicago's own Tribune:

oh! Which I can no longer send a link to cause now I am in England I can't access the page...

(Summary - BS is racist and sexist and should be banned)

(google 'Chicago Tribune Brown Sugar Racist' and you'll find it)

That article is the reason they SHOULD play it.

I have read for years the usual controversy over setlists, "they always play the same songs" and today the concern is that maybe they won't play BS? Psychiatric stuff! Personally, if they don't play BS it's not a problem for me, they've played it so many times ... I don't even know why.

It will hereafter be referred to as Rainbow Sugar.
Problem solved. Case closed. Everybody's happy. More beer and chicks lets get down.
Mick will say anything he reads off those prompters anyway.
those screens are adjusted to his glasses prescription.
case closed.

i don't believe they'll play Miss Amanda Jones on this tour and would put good money down on that. some money that's almost clean too...discuss

are they cutting Chuck's lead outta Honkey Tonk?
I'm starting that rumor if anybody wants to help.
