When the Faces would do "Im Losing You" or "Bad'n Ruin", you had Kenney, Mac and Wood holding it down, but downstairs Lane would be rumbling around, with no net, all counterpoint.

MT's basslines mirror his relationship to guitar and music - they are melodic; and busy, in a good way.

When is the last time Mick Taylor has been seen in public?

Think of how much MT made guesting on the Stones tour between 2012 and 2014 (20k 30k per gig?). Multiply the sum by the number of shows played and you'll see MT has a gathered a pretty neat pension plan.
Now's time to buy a fishing pole.

I know it's his choice, but Mick Taylor has got so much to offer when it comes to playing the guitar, and it seems such a shame he isn't doing what he does best.
That is, playing in a band which is really appreciated by the people who love to watch them live, or listen to the music on all the various stuff that is available these days.
Your fans are missing you Mick.
Please get back on the road again or do some recording with some good musicians and vocalists to give us something else to look forward to in 2019.

Mick and Keith screwed Taylor on the 2012-14 tours. They relegated this him to a couple of songs then had him sitting around backstage for the bulk of the show. They could have found a way to incorporate him into the band but choose to treat him like an outsider then drop him completely when it no longer suited then, even as Keith's has been struggling to play his most basic riffs. Just one more reason why I have a love/hate relationship with this band.

I don't think he made anywhere near that much money on those tours. And even if he did he was broke for so many years it hardly makes up for it now. His net worth is listed at less than half a million pounds. That's really pretty sad.

You can only "screw" someone when you don't stick to the original deal. So what was exactly discussed and agreed between Taylor and the band prior to his involvement?
However, I was probably as disappointed as you when I experienced the degree of his participation - far below my personal expectations to say the least.
