Ginger Baker wasn't in the band.

Oops. Thx. But can you name the drummer in that band without looking it up?

Then there were the 2 keyboard players Carla Bley and Ron? somebody. Real good group. That guy "Ron" was really angry when Mick quit. I mean he just split..no goodbyes..just called Bruce's manager to say he was quitting. Jack Bruce was so upset by this that he had to take a year off to recover. Or so the story goes. I guess it's difficult for people with certain habit(s) to cope with life's little curve balls. It's sad really.

In between all the fun and joking here's a nice read about Taylor and Jack Bruce.
What a pity they split up so quickly.

And eh, the name is Ronnie. No, no, not Wood, but Leahy. Ronnie Leahy!

Was he a full band member or hired, kleerie?

As far as I know they were all full band members. Bruce (Jack) told about his wish to write songs with Taylor and Bley as a songwriting team during that OGWT-interview with him and Taylor that took place after the European and UK tour. Looks like a band thing to me and thus full membership.

Thanks. I read about them on Discogs and he wasn't listed. Maybe he wasn't with them all along.

And here is Taylor with Jack Bruce at The Old Grey Whistle Test in June 1975.

The best audio (from the album) is combined with the already existing video from this gig. The audio quality is now top notch. A gig to remember!

The setlist is as follows: 1. 00:20 Can You Follow; 2. 02:15 Morning Story; 3. 07:35 Keep It Down; 4. 13:00 Pieces Of Mind; 5. 19:05 One; 6. 25:40 Spirit; 7. 33:15Without A Word; 8. 42:10 Smiles And Grins.

No they didn't. Why do you ask that? The Manchester gig shows clearly that a drummer is audible. See also the video posted above: with a drummer and also with stellar audio quality!

The JB/MT band always toured with a drummer, the entire band, Kleer. I saw them at the pinkpop festival in '75, I remember it as a great performance. If you want to read some details I can recommend "Jack Bruce, composing himself". A very interesting, funny read, and some details about the collaboration between Mick Taylor, the other members, and of course the leader, Jack Bruce.

This is an oldy with Bruce Gary (†) on drums.

Because they didn't have a drummer yet in that interview, and you said that took place after the European tour..

Yep, the OGWT interview took of course place before the European and UK tour ánd before the OGWT concert itself (which took place after both tours).

Well, so you saw Mick Taylor live at his prime twice! I must say that I never took much notice of his cooperation with Jack Bruce, but now I think Taylor quitting the Jack Bruce Band was a bigger disaster than him leaving the Rolling Stones.

What a fantastic band that Jack Bruce Band was and what delicious music they made. So much better than what the Stones were doing at that time. A difference of night and day in terms of musicality, creativity and emotionality.

You might like this performance as well then, Goetenburg Sweden, 19/5/1975.
The sound quality is not good, but musically the best performance registered, imo. Taylor also on backing vocals if I remember it well. Anyway, solid as a Rock.
