Canadian show is one of three places in my mind: the plains of Abraham in Quebec City which runs a month long festival in June/July, part of the Ottawa blues fest or the long shot contender but still in the running - back to magnetic hill in little Moncton, nb on the east coast

Let's see.....since the Bay Area saw shows in Oakland and San Jose in 2013 I can only imagine this means SF proper at ATT park this summer!

My first thought too but the SF Giants have that place pretty wrapped up this summer. Maybe Shoreline Amphitheater? Oracle Arena? Lots of possibilities still.

peace

Wow, Good catch. Could be looking at a June 6th Rolling Stones show at AT&T Park. That fits in a lot of ways. Whoo Hoo!

A bit weird they'd put so much emphasis on the SF re-release... It's not like it's Sgt Pepper or even Exile in the eyes of the general public is it? Well I suppose they need a "concept" they can tour behind but still, they're really scraping it. And adding insult to injury they've uninvited the man who gave that album it's best moments.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Sticky Fingers their most successful album in terms of individual sales? (I know Exile is a double album so it may have brought more income) They've already played out the Exile album and you can't play the whole damn thing anyway.

Maybe they have played out 7 of the 18 ' Exile ' tracks but definitely not the other 11 songs - or the tracks from the bonus disc.

' Exile on Main St. ' songs live in concert :

Let It Loose ....... zero times ever

Soul Survivor ........ zero times ever ( maybe 1 time in Chicago '72 + one 2002 sound-check )

Casino Boogie ........ zero times ever

Ventilator Blues ........ one time ever ('72)

Sweet Black Angel ....... one time ever ('72)

Torn And Frayed ........ three times ever

Shine A Light ........ nineteen times ever - approximately

Loving Cup ........ twenty times ever ( one of them prior to Exile's release )

Rip This Joint ...... ten times since the 1975 tour ended !!!!

Those are the stats on how many times half of the songs on the legendary double album have been performed in concert during the 42 + years since it was released.

They haven't done " I Just Want to See His Face " or " T.O.T.R. " live in concert either but, those are more of a reach. The other 9 songs plus at least 2 or 3 from the bonus disc should be played / played more.

Hey MrDDDD, where abouts do you live? Bellingham? I know fellow IORR treaclefingers lives in Vancouver and I'm out in the Fraser Valley so we're obviously both hoping for a Vancouver show. BC Place with the roof open would be awesome!

Pleased to meet you.. hope you guess my (locale)...
I do live in Bellingham... Born in Seattle, raised partially in Langley BC, and have lived/worked in Vancouver, Burnaby, New West.. in my earlier years.

I'm thinking (hoping) it will likely be a BC place festival/concert that's being worked out as well.. There seems to be a few open saturdays in June (6,13,20)..

I think it's also possible that the northwest sees two shows however, either Seattle or Portland as well as Vancouver. They definitely have done so in the past, and Vancouver/ Seattle are a similar distance between San Diego and LA and they could sell out large (or medium) venues on both sides of the line, easily.

Whooo Hoooo!!

man, hope the announcement is tuesday. this reading of the tea leaves is driving me crazy. lived in Indy, IN for 5 years. horrible place. if you like born-again christians screaming bible verses in your face, then that place is your town. hope they play South Bend. be funny seeing them at Notre Dame. plus it's pretty close to chicago. voodoo indy in 1994 sold very poorly. hate to have to fight for a 9000 seater in Indy.

Although I am not a big fan of the venue myself its only an hour and half north of me so it would give me a cheap show to go to in addition to the trip I am planning to NYC or Red Rocks...sorry to be in competition with the prayer groups smiling smiley

IN- Klipsch, 24,000 outdoor concert amphitheater near Indianapolis. Great acoustics-owned by concert promotor LiveNation. Booked nearly all months except June. Formerly called Deer Park. Just guessing.

Hard to believe there would be no Chicago concert.

I'm visiting LA in May for Mothers' Day. Hope to join some of you, pounding the pavement of some sidewalks outside a Burbank soundstage. We shall see!

Steel Wheels skipped Chicago. The Klipsch is great. I saw Pearl Jam there in 2010, back when it was one of many Verizon Wireless sheds. Hopefully there won't be another tornado delay. The key problem with many American amphitheaters is access. They're in the sticks. There is no public transport, and traffic can be backed up for miles both before and after.

BV hope we can finally meet up for the Colorado show. I'm seeing Ryan Adams at Red Rocks in June hope the Stones do play there, would be incredible. The wife and I may also travel to Pittsburgh for that show. Can't wait.

LiveNation doesn't have this tour. Apparently it's AEG who are also doing the Who in the states.

I'm guessing by played out EXILE you mean the big reissue a few years back...

SOME GIRLS is their biggest selling LP. 8 million copies or so.

EMOTIONAL RESCUE spent the most time at #1 in the States, 7 weeks. It was also their first #1 LP in the UK since GOATS HEAD SOUP according to Wikipedia. EXILE was more expensive but remember, whatever the figure is for EXILE you have to divide it in half. If it went gold (500,000 copies sold) that means it only sold 250,000 copies since it's a double LP. The way double and more albums are tallied didn't change until rather recently from my understanding but I don't know when.

There is a thread somewhere, I think georgelicks started it, but I can never remember what it's called.

The Who plays House of Blues which is Live Nation. Though I have not read if AEG or other has this tour.

Steel Wheels did skip Chicago. I saw the show in East Troy WI, my first show. Klipsch is same layout as Alpine East Troy-8,000 under pavilion cover, remainder on amphitheater lawn. But Im just guessing. We will know soon. Any place and I'll be going to the concert! Still hard to believe they will not be in Chicago.

Thanks for welcomes.
