The more I think about it - again only speculation, Stones play Indy Speedway on National TV and put on the biggest fireworks display ever seen. Also seems like there maybe other bands in play.
I will have seen them before that date - Only care to see them but if Indy is turned into a festival - hey why not?
A very big rumor in Indy this week is that the Indy Speedway date will be festival-like with up to 3 other bands. The Black Keys are said to be one of the bands. Stage placement is another issue that might be affecting ticketing but no solid info that it is Indy causing the delay.
July 4th is on a Saturday. This will be a huge event. It could be an all day event. As you said, Black Keys, hell even JCM, Bruce could appear.
Again, it is a perfect setup for a different, but festival and special event. However, I'd rather pay more and see them in an arena.

well the Pfister Hotel just raised the cost of my reservation by 13%, so I guess they are starting to believe the Milwaukee show might actually happen.

How can AXS be announcing the Nashville concert on Twitter already (22 minutes ago) about the concert there? Jumping the gun a bit. Or an inside leak?

Check the date on the byline - March 18.
The piece precedes the subsequent news out of Nashville that the March 19 announcement was off.

how do they raise the price of your reservation? does it say if you don't purchase a non-refundable room that they can raise as they wish?

A reservation does not guarentee anything, not even a room, let alone the price. If you PAY for the room, then the price is locked, but the chance of your room being double booked is still not unheard of for various reasons...
In other words, if someone comes up and says they will pay more for a room that has NOT been paid for...what do you think the hotel is going to do?

Hey everyone! I'm new to the board. I've been a Stones fan since I first heard Tattoo You way back when. I'm pretty excited about the upcoming tour, and it's good to know my summer concert budget will be spent on a very worthwhile cause. I haven't actually seen the boys since the Voodoo Lounge tour at the Meadowlands, but I'm ready to make amends for my lack of live shows since then (work, work, work, school, work, and raising a family). Time to live a little. It's great to be amongst all of you.

I'm a Travel Agent, and as stated above, you can always get bumped. That is why you should always use a Travel Agent because it costs you nothing and a hotel worker knows not to upset an agency revenue stream...

My take on this is that you should print out your reservation with the quoted price. If the hotel charges you more, challenge it on via your credit card and say that you booked based on the quoted price.

That is not my experience, what hotels do you stay at? Marriott run hotels do not change rates, once you are booked. Sometimes, for major events or very busy times, they require partial payment to book a room and/or require the reservation to be guaranteed (no cancellation) when it is made.
I booked at the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown a week ago. Not sure if their rates have gone up since then, but I'm confident my rate will not change and I can cancel up to the day before.
