As a ten-track-album it would be considerably better. There are some songs that lack inspiration and some songs that seem sort of unfinished... some songs imo have an untimely fade-out as well... sound quality also varies now and then.

However, as a Stones fan you should know (and appreciate) Keith’s style, which is exactly "unfinished", imo.

If I HAD TO trim two songs off the album (at gunpoint), those would be Goodnight Irene and Just A Gift – mainly because I find the other slower songs on the album superior..

I wouldn't say that I'm always in the mood for every track on the album...but I wouldn't want any of them to be missing.

From the very beginning I was rather disappointed in terms of sound-quality.
Some songs, I might say MOST songs sound compressed and distorted. Seems that my ears are not to blame, look here:

What do YOU think about the sound-quality? To me it´s much worse than Main Offender & Talk Is Cheap.

Ten track albums are often better, I'll give you that.

No, it's not the Holy Grail but to my ears there is a feeling and warmth to this record that has been missing from all stones and stones related projects since TATTOO YOU. The energy seems natural; none of it feels forced or contrived. I still love this album after a year and play it often.
