elvis was the King, not johnny rotten. neil flips it about johnny rotten to make a point
he says 'the king is gone but he's not forgotten' (elvis)
'is this the story of a johnny rotten' (no, its not about johnny rotten)
johnny rotten was and is not dead (or gone)

Johnny Rotten has the personality of a huffy 8 year old girl.

Johnny called me around 1993 to tell me he wears my shirts. I just saw the Ginger Baker documentary and he's still wearing them! Thanks Johnny.

so the answer is, as I expected, of nothing
the king, according to neil, at leat in hey hey my my, was elvis
young only 'liked' punk because the records were relativelty unproduced; he hated goofs with pins in their faces
pistols dug neil more than vice versa

Well, mostly nice.
Johnny says that over the years Mick has done some nice stuff in the Pistols direction. Particularly when Sid was in a lot of trouble Mick was secretly behind the scenes offering lawyers.

Why are some still referring to him as 'Johnny Rotten'? All publications and interviewers refer to him as 'John Lydon' It's not 1977 any more.

Well, in a press release from PiL on April 3rd, 2013 John Lydon says: “What a great chance for The Rolling Stones and Michael Jagger to see Public Image Ltd and Johnny Rotten at Glastonbury. Hugs and Kisses baby Rockers.”
