Wardrecords doesnt ship outside Japan, right? Is there any alternative source to get these? Would love to have the 4-CD-Version from LA75 ....
Well, if it's as good as they're stocking of Jerry Lee's Rock n Roll Time, then you won't have it.
I ordered it as mentioned...sounds though like it's available now, at least as far as flairville pointed out.
But as he's probably from the UK they send them out quickly. Mine's in transit so it shouldn't be longer than a week I shouldn't think.
Does anybody hear any differences between the two stereo mixes? For me it sounds the same, especially the overdubs are on both releases

I know what an overdub is and I am only refering to Micks voice. Some parts are taken from another show.
So please check again the second "ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh" part. On the Google Download he sings "ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh, lord i miss you" twice while on the original recording the "lord I miss you" line isn't there.
Just watched this part and it is clearly overdubbed. How odd. Seems that both the 1st and 2nd verse has the ahh ahh parts overdubbed.
So here is the First one who believes me
. This overdub destroys the whole release for me. The "Baby why you wait so long" part sounds odd too.
I wanted you to be wrong!
The overdub after the 2nd verse is so blatant as we see a close up of Jagger singing and he pulls away from the mic.
You'll be shocked when you see it. It looks really bad.
That said, I'm still loving it overall. It's never looked and sounded so good, even with this massive screw up.
Worse than Happy from Ladies & Gentlemen?
I'd say it's at least on par with that.
Not something that anyone would fail to notice, put it that way.
It actually reminds me of the Genesis Three Sides Live film which has a couple of similar close ups with vocals that do not match at all.
Funnily enough that was also filmed in 1981 and got it's blu-ray release today.

The guitar part seems the same, but Jagger's voice is definitely not. It seems from that age, so it has to be from another show. Just curious and I checked Leeds, no lord I miss you there.
By the way, nothing in the original that could justify the edit. It just makes me wonder. Could it be that Bob just miked up the files and made a mistake?

Clearmountain seems to have lost his skills. Thin guitars, bass too loud, way too compressed... this could be fantastic but instead I will actually pass.

On wardrecords.com they say the first mix is from the 2012 Google download and the second mix from the DVD soundtrack.
Also, interestingly the LP's are said to be made from a high resolution digital master (24bit/88.2kHz). Maybe there will be a hi-res download release later one...

I haven't checked out Miss You yet, but clearly many confuses overdubs with new mixes, where "new" vocal parts that weren't very audible on the bootlegs now are polished and up front in the mix, like Mac's vocals on Shattered.
