I just rand AEG Hospitality (0207 757 7563) "enquiring" about the Bon Jovi/Stones packages and was told by a very helpful young lady that the map we've all been looking at is a fake one and that it is being rectified as we speak, and that Tier 1 is right beside (in front) of the stage with Tier 2 behind and GA Tier 3 behind that !! Also, they are doing the same deals for the 13th July show. Let's wait and see !!

Do I understand this correctly?
What Jagger says is basically that we who can afford to pay more for a ticket are not as good fans as those who cannot afford a £200+ ticket??
So lets put the boring rich guys on the side so that they can hang in the bar area.

Well if that is true, GOOD !! And that idiot Rob Hallett needs to issue a formal statement to counteract what he said to the Evening Standard, that the £95 ticket holders had access to the front of the stage. That was grossly misleading ............

This is the response I got from Front Gate Tickets UK Support after I sent them the link to the layout posted on Twitter :
Christopher Egan
Subject: Rolling Stones stage layout

Drew @ Front Gate Tickets replied:
That is a general idea of the layout to the festival but there will be fenced off sections of each tier. An updated map will be posted on the festival's website closer to the event. Tier 1 will be in front of the stage, with 2 behind it and 3 behind it.

Front Gate Tickets

Good question, fake layout and fake comments as well! In any case the current replies are not satisfactory, what "updated map will be posted on the festival's website"? There is no map right now as far as I can tell, so there is no map to update! Besides weren't you told before that they were working on correcting the "fake" RS Twitter map ASAP? Are the £95 buyers still going to be led to believe by the promoter and the chimp/chimpette that they will be FOS? Doesn't seem fair to me either!

Yep, we need an unequivocal statement by the promoter, explaining precisely WHAT is true and WHAT is fake, and quite simply what the setup on the day is going to be. Nothing more, nothing less. And that information SHOULD have been given to people on the day of the first presales and not NOW - or whenever they decide to finally provide it, but WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY NEEDED !!
I simply cannot believe that an organisation that sees fit to charge a member of the public £400 for something expects them to blindly accept such blatant misrepresentation of facts and to be treated with such overt contempt. It is pathetic ........
Talk about not being able to organise a piss up in a brewery or a f**k in a Parisian whorehouse, Christ Almighty !!

If it is fake and if they are going to post an updated layout "nearer the time" (why not now?), then they they should give some satisfaction and end the confusion by making a public announcement to that effect. And an apology and explanation for the cock-up wouldn't go amiss either.
I don't buy the "fake" story. Don't they employ people who read/check tweets (whether genuine or false) coming from the Rolling Stones twitter account?? Either way, it boils down to what is euphemistically called "human error" - and an inexcusable one in this case.

People,
Just a thought, but is it possible that the diamond tier 1 & gold tier 2 area are actually located in front of the stage and accessed with a walkway from the bar/grandstand areas, which would mean in effect that the front of the GA tier 3 ticket area is not right up in front of the stage, it's behind the gold as was originally thought by all of us who went with the tier 1 tickets ?
I'm just wondering, if looking at the new layout diagram, whether they simply haven't drawn in the actually diamond/gold areas slap bang in front of the stage, and accessible by a specific walkway of sorts ?
What think we ?

I think it was better organised in 1969....just turn up and enjoy the gig!

One more thought. It IS possible that they're NOT going to segregate the GA area, but that what they might offer the tier 1 ticket holders is an opportunity to enter the GA area EARLIER than tier 2 people,
Hmmm you mean, GA tier 3 opens door at 2PM, so tier 2 and tier 1 will have what they paid for by having access at 10 AM ?
