Karlos, it was an addition to the mix, anyway.

What got me was when he implied Vancouver is in the US, at least according to my reading:

"The Stones are also confirmed for 18 U.S. arenas. The tour is supposed to start on the West Coast, maybe in Vancouver."

It is--at least there is one in the U.S.

From Wikipedia: Vancouver is a city on the north bank of the Columbia River in the U.S. state of Washington. Incorporated in 1857, it is the fourth largest city in the state, with a 2010 census population of 161,791 as of April 1, 2010 census. Vancouver is the county seat of Clark County and forms part of the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan area, the 23rd-largest metropolitan area in the United States.

The name Vancouver is confusing cause there are 2, one is located in the USA and the other in Canada. In the past there have been many RS concerts in Vancouver BC Canada.

Vancouver shares its name with the larger city of Vancouver located 305 miles (491 km) north in the Canadian province of British Columbia. Both cities were named in honor of sea captain George Vancouver, although the Canadian city was incorporated 29 years after the incorporation of Vancouver, Washington, and more than 60 years after the name Vancouver was first used in reference to the historic Fort Vancouver trading post on the Columbia River. City officials have periodically suggested changing the U.S. city's name to Fort Vancouver, Vancouver USA, or even Old Vancouver to reduce confusion with its northern neighbor. Many Pacific Northwest residents distinguish between the two cities by referring to the Canadian city as "Vancouver, B.C." and the United States one as "Vancouver, Washington," or "Vancouver USA.

Emily Eavis has dismissed the rumours surrounding the identity of this years Glastonbury headliners as "nonsense".

The festival has yet to reveal who will headline on any of the three nights this year leading the rumour mill to land upon increasingly unusual names for this year's event. Alongside the likes of Arctic Monkeys and The Rolling Stones, recent rumours have included Mariah Carey and Rihanna being suggested as potential Pyramid Stage toppers. Clearly frustrated with the whispers, Emily Eavis last night (March 13) wrote on Twitter: "Three nonsense headliner stories in a week, all completely untrue. Real news will be with you soon!"

I'm waiting for the announcement, like all of us, especially for news on
shows in Las Vegas.

The rumor that generated the most press in the last last week is Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno "confirmation" that the Stones would be playing Glastonbury.

So why don't they just announce them and stop the rumours?

Well, I could understand why you would assume the Vancouver in BC. I mean, if you're going to play in the state of Washington, why not Seattle? It's got four times the population of Vancouver as well as the more appropriate venues. With such a limited run of dates, including multiple shows in the same venue, you would think they would be aiming only for major cities.
