Bliss
It's just fantastic to see these videos and photos and read the reviews and comments. It makes me so happy to see such brilliant performances from Mick, Keith and MICK TAYLOR, and to see Mick T and Bill onstage with the Stones again. Huge thanks to all those who posted the photos and videos.
And Camdenrambler, reading your story again, I am really just in awe of your kindness. You had no way of knowing if you'd get a ticket for the second show, the first show really could have been your last opportunity to ever see them again, and knowing Bill and Mick Taylor were going to be there, which is really a miracle....you gave the ticket to a stranger.

Were was the mixing board anyway? This was the first concert I have attended were there was no mixing board front of stage?

Wow! I've been on this nice board since mid 90's Voodoo Lounge tour.
Traffic here always rose up when tour time was.But I feel there's never been that much pics, threads and people on IORR before. And nearly all in a jolly frame of mind.
So much stuff. It's almost a bit too much for me now . .

[Of course there is more and more stuff, in 1994 it was hard to get a camera inside the gig

The best ever? I could never judge that. But it is absolutely freaking me out how she
chalenged Mick, brought this enormous energy into the performance and honored the song writers
by putting this beautiful effort in her singing.
(BTW, listening to the recording, I hear an echo of Grace Slick in Florence Welsh)
Yeah, it is a glorious version, indeed, as far as the videos tell. All the band was
great! (of course, I should add). Seeing the videos already is a highlight in my history
as a fan. Let alone what would happen to me if I would actually have the chance to see it live...

You got my point
At least, Florence is among the best guests they've ever had. So vital and distinct, yet so true to the original song in her own way - great!
PS: And best of all: I've never even heard of her

Hehe. Wasn't sure but now I got it confirmed what I thought Mick said when Bill was leaving the stage after HTW: "The detector!" :-)

The song is about danger and threat and she brought that element out better than anyone since Merry Clayton. Florence was dangerous live, she took the game to Mick and you can tell he wasn't sure how far she was going to go with it.
This was true art, unfolding under our very eyes. It wasn't about slick, Vegas-style showbiz with every move choreographed to boring perfection. Rock'n'roll at its finest.
And to round off an incredible performance she humbled herself at the end by graciously kissing all 4 Stones and in doing so endeared herself to thousands of Stones fan. God bless her for that.

So finally I got around to go through the pictures I took last week, I hope you'll enjoy them!
