There is only one DVD from 1972. Unfortunately, it's not a very good show, imo - not at all a good document of that excellent tour...

Pls, which are you referring to?

the slower version of jjf has been how they've played it since the VL tour anyways... or at least since BTB.

Then what is everyone complaining about? This stripped down version sounds more authentic than any live version I've heard since.... well, nevermind.

Amen. Case closed. Next criticism?

keith has almost no hair left...

Though strangely, Charlie looks like he's got more than usual. At least from the magazine "robes" pictre spread.

Looks that way, doesn't it? It's that tuft in front that hasn't thinned so much yet. At the Crossfire Hurricane premiere, when the band is on the stage before the screening and you see pics of Charlie in profile, you see the huge bald patch behind that frontal tuft. It's surprising that he's got any hair left at all, because way back on the Tattoo You tour in 1981 he had a yamaka-size bald patch up top even then.

hah i distinctly remember in 81 when i first saw the "Waiting On A Friend" video and you can see Charlie's bald spot...and i was like 'oh no...the Rolling Stones are getting old!!!"...fast forward 31 years later...

Been wearing gowns after every show since 1989, but the tabloids still manage to make it into a "current" story in 2012.

Wearing gowns is to protect from flu after a sweaty performance in a small venue

Funny thing, Jagger, Richards and Woods wear the same kind of shirt at the consert - any sponsor behind it?

It's something special and celebration enough that they(what's left of them) can still appear onstage in a few relativley small venues 50 years later and play some good gigs. thumbs up

The big shows are just wanking and banking. thumbs down

So the people with cameras (aka the poors) were the ones who couldn't enter the Mogador, and the ones who had an invitation (the rich ones) were specifically asked not to bring a cam with them.

Silly world... And I think the most pitiful ones are the ones who had cams. They seem like beggars who admire the nobles who pass them by. eye rolling smiley
