Miss You LIVE from Paris!

Great, sounds better than the boring bigger bang tour versions.

Big time. The slower tempo brings the danceable groove back. It sounds way more "in the pocket".
One, two and one, two, three - next he will probably count to four etc.
Counting belongs to kindergarten - not in a consert. They are not that senile yet.
Seriously? How would you start a song where the entire band is supposed to start at the same time and preferably at the same tempo? I guess you wouldn't know...

Isn't that Matt Lee right up front on Ronnie's side? Sure looks like him!

Lose your dreams and you will lose your mind...

Exactly. 78 and 81 were both great years for Miss You. Ever after it has been a keyboard driven song. They just need to let Ronnie nail that intro from here on out...

For me the best live versions were from '78. In 1981, I was not too keen on the saxophone, in particular not at the start of the song. Sounds a bit like a rubber duck...

The official Rolling Stones site is ashamed to note that the band has played a PRIVATE gig for Garmignac gestion ? Why talking about a secret gig as The Trabendo was ?

This is NOT correct. For the Trabando they speak of a SURPRISE GIG for the Mogador they speak of a SECRET GIG hot smiley

Yet they provided minute by minute twitter updates of the Trabendo gig as it happened.

Whereas the existence of the Mogador gig didnt even get mentioned until the following day.

the irony being that everyone knew the date and location of the 'secret' gig about a week or more in advance, whereas the 'surprise' gig's location only leaked about 24 hours before it took place.

Really do not know what all the fuss is about. This was a PRIVATE show with no public tickets sold, so there is no reason to provide any information. Gret a life folks.

Balls. The point of their social media pages are to provide an official service for concert info and setlists etc, even though 99.999% of their readership cant get access to the show in question. If they can do that for the Trabendo show, they can do it for the private show as well. Why pretend it wasnt happening?

Did they provide this for any of the other private shows they have done? Nobody's pretending it didn't happen, it's just none of your business. Typical liberal thinking. are they posting any of the rehearsal songs, where they had lunch etc. in your mind we should all be told everything they do.

Excuse me? You assume to know my politics now? Let alone that I give a shite about political terms in your country.

They didnt post setlists from previous tours at all as far as I know, so the issue of what they did or didnt do for private shows is a moot point.

No. I dont think we should be told 'everything'. Try reading what I said. If theyre using social media sites to post news and info on concerts, then do it properly and consistently or dont do it at all. They have a track record of providing an online service that tends to be half-arsed at best.

Outside of a studio or a concert stage I couldnt give a flying f**k what they do the rest of the time.

You get a couple of tweets from Gregory and now it"s standard operating procedure for everything they do. Maybe in your country this is how business is done, but not for a global brand like the Stones. I guess we just disagree on this one.

How wonderful to see The Rolling Stones performing live in Paris in 2012, but
if I read one more post that mentions Mick Taylor I'm throwing myself out the @#$%& window.

thumbs up

He is not a stone anymore, but most people from the older generation here live in the past.

No, most people have better taste than you.

Get over it, Ronnie Wood is a real stone and MT not.

Flash - Your Opinion -not mine as I saw Taylor when he was in the Stones,

Best lineup -in my Opinion!

That's Keith starting off the song. He barely does that anymore unless it's one of the signature riff intros, so your point falls dead to the ground.

No, not quite. It's hardly rocket science to start off this tune, like Keith used to. If he can start Shattered, he sure can start Miss You, imo.

However, I see your point, because it most definitely won't happen...

lu sur twitter, pas de 3e concert à paris pour les stones avant leur venue à Londres

"Just had it confirmed. There will be NO more Rolling Stones shows in Paris before they go to London. L'Olympia + Trianon are just rumours."

"Just to repeat my earlier statement, I'm told by a member of Rolling Stones security there'll be no more Stones' shows in Paris this month."

All dead and gone !
But we Paris fans must consider ourselves very happy and especially those who have been able to get to le Trabendo for just 15 euros.
Without Carmignac, how much would they have paid ?
At the same time, I know that the Mogador gig is some kind of disappointment because not allowed for fans. It's a bit tough !
A thought for English fans who had to pay the high price to see them, it's certainly unfair.
Does it mean that the Stones didn't find any "Carmignac" there in London ?

These are all real fans who waited at the gates all day. Great to see a show where so many hard working salt of the earth fans make it into the show and up to the front row. And what a show it was!

Memories from Paris Champs Elysee Thursday morning October 25.

First shortly before 7am, it is still dark, and around 40 people in the queue. People walk by and ask why we are there. The queue was building up by 10 people or so per hour during the night.

Then the sun is up, there are a few more people in the queue, still possible to get into the club show if you get into this queue.

Then at 9am the Virgin security put up barriers, they organize the queue, and this is how it looked like shortly after 9am. More than 200 people in the queue, and sadly too late for those who arrive by now.

You'd think he could have been entitled to one of the 150 invitations (according to Le Monde) the band got...but maybe he wanted to do it his way.
