Joss Stone Talks All Things SuperHeavy
JULY 9, 2012

"It's a bit mad sometimes, you go from one sound to the other," Joss Stone says with a grin about the new album from SuperHeavy, the star-studded group she played in alongside Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, A.R. Rahman and Damian Marley. Stone chatted with Rolling Stone about Jagger and Marley's painting-as-songwriting style, the challenge of adding something to a Jagger or Marley-penned tune and her hopes that one day SuperHeavy will find time in their busy schedules to play live.

dave in today's Guardian:

"Mick Jagger is the sort of person who constantly surprises me. When I had
pneumonia he flew me out to the Caribbean, such is his generosity. And another time
I arrived in Paris and he had arranged the bridal suite with my girlfriend from
Brazil lying in a bed of red roses waiting for me."

It is very unfortunate figure of speech. You forgot to delete it from your previous post. I'll take your quote from mine
But next time I ask you to do without calling for the death - even such disguised.

and yet instead of simply ignoring it, you continue to post on it, moving it to the top of the board.

you're either just moody, or crave attention.

as Mick might say, "I NEED YOUR LOVE, I WANT YOUR LOVE..."

question is, are you freezing in a hundred dollar hotel room?

I think I may have seen Superheavy during the closing ceremonies tonight...either that or it was the Spice Girls.

Colours of the world indeed.

Great remark from keef, regarding Ronnies records.

On Super Heavy, the remark seems right.

Shows you what a great album it is...you're favourite is amongst my least favourite.

I think several of the ballads are excellent, as is the title track, Energy, Satyameh, Mahiya, even Miracle Worker.

Dave has tweeted this message and pic: "Leaving Caribbean but looking forward to
seeing my guitars again"

As you probably know, Keith has also been enjoying the Caribbean. But no word
yet on whether he too misses his guitars.

Dave's got a mini-tour coming up with his band of mostly kick-ass female musicians.
You can be Dave's opening act. For real. Here's how:

Courtesy of Shidoobee, a Dave Stewart interview from yesterday, in conjuction with
the release of Dave's new album:

Q: Whatever happened to Super Heavy?

A: "It's still going. It's more of a loose collaborative thing than an
actual band, and an experiment in merging different types of music -- Jamaican,
Asian and so on. Mick's still very much involved.
