Proundmary ,you know what ?

I just find out a better link to post on IORR ....for you only cool smiley
jeez ....I love the american accent ...the guy is so quick ...Jeremy !!!

Check this out & let me know what you think .

Thanks Sway...he was a great reviewer, had a very nice relaxed, unassuming style. He seemed to quite like the album as well. I didn't know Beautiful People was a single...I wonder if he got that right. Did Energy ever make it as a single or did they ever get that video shot?

Sway, thank you very much, I haven't seen it before. I agree with Treacle, this guy is a great reviewer.
I still listen to the album and get a lot of fun from it. But I understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea. I think I'll be able to swallow your lack of enthusiasm for this project )))
BTW,this guy has an absolutely stunning eyebrows!

Treacle - I think he's wrong about Beautiful People. Energy was supposed to be the second single, they even prepared it to be released in England (as I remember Stewart was talking about it in an interview).I do not know why they decided of doing nothing at the end. But there is still some hope:
Dave Stewart: - "With SuperHeavy, I just made a documentary, which was an amazing thing to capture. I’ve probably got an hour-and-15-minute-long film. I think it’s interesting, but because things keep happening, I keep filming that.
Mick wants to make a video for “Energy.” It’s one of his favorites... We have amazing stuff"
So, we'll see!

Great review & reviewer ,you are right .

<<I didn't know Beautiful People was a single...<<

Do you think it could have to do with :

Superheavy Beautiful People Promo CD From Netherlands ???

Superheavy promo CD issued by Universal Records in The Netherlands to promote Beautiful People. It is a 1 track CD Single with a specially printed CD cover and has the catalogue number UMUSIC 1897 and the track is time at 3.46 which must be an edited version as the album version is 5.00 long.

Wow that is so great! That they're gonna finally release this single!

Boy are the doubters gonna be ashamed!

Right now the album is number 9873 on amazon. I'll bet anything when they
release this hot new single that the album goes Top 8000 overnight!

maybe because of this great youtube vid for "energy", "miracle worker" has now
zoomed up to number 103,704! [www.amazon.com]

For comparison purposes only (because her stuff is of course disposable junk)
a certain someone released her first single at age 17 in Aug 2005.
It is currently still number 1568 on Amazon, almost 7 years later.

"no spare parts" is number 97,968.

here's some more superheavy-type music, from an album released almost two
years ago, that is still number 5 on amazon's reggae chart

to me SuperHeavy means worldbeat pop music that blends and breaks down barriers
between cultures. this is my as-promised weekly update.

1) there was a 1500 a pop charity gig in new orleans last night put together
by brad and angelina. on the bill: dr. john, the neville brothers, and rihanna.
here she is at the soundcheck:

2) also for your entertainment "waka waka this time for africa" which went
to number one in at least 18 countries a couple years ago. yes, shakira is
great eye candy but 3 of her 4 co-dancers do it for me maybe even more.
with 453 million views it is definitely in the running for the
most successful video of all time.

almost forgot: shakira's top: red gold and green!

Maybe there will be a tour with Super Heavy this spring or summer since Mick has nothing planned, as usual, except to supervise the release of sundry Rolling Stones trumpery? Wouldn't it be nice to actually see the band perform together for once?

I think this is possible, but only after Richards will go for a solo tour with his new solo album
As for Mick, who does nothing "except to supervise the release of Stones trumpery" -
he worked on Some Girls and Exile bonus CDs at the same time when Richards wrote his shitty little book with ghost writer, recordered new songs with his acidified Winos and promoted his own brand - "Keith Richards - the heart and the soul of the Rolling Stones, the immortal genius and the world's biggest dick"

Didn't he (Keith) acknowledge in his book, when in South Africa, that there was an elephant (or was it a giraffe?) that actually had a longer dong than his, Proudmary?

Proud Mary, you just can't take Richards seriously these days. Well, I find it impossible to do so anyway.

I was a bit surprised good ole Keef (Kardashian) wrote that bit about Jagger, considering how he himself had not so long ago gotten drunk, high or whatever, and allowed himself to be filmed playing with himself on the beach.

Seriously doubt a pony or elephant came to anyone's mind that had the misfortune of seeing that video.

I guess that story just wasn't good enough for LIFE....

can somebody please start a superheavy thread where no keith bashing is allowed?

it brings discredit on superheavy and mick more than it does keith.

keith is the greatest rock and roller that ever lived.

if mick and superheavy ever gain any success, which seems quite doubtful at
this point, it will not be because they are better than keith, but just
different and younger and more in keeping with the times. keith literally
has given his life to dredge up music from the recesses of heaven and the
depths of hell. if he is at this point a fallen hero, which we don't know
enough to say, he is still a complete fcking hero.

proudmary, i wish you hated superheavy. then i might start liking them again.

as i think i've mentioned before, the joy of having her cake eaten is something
of a sub-theme on the new album. three songs are mostly about that. this one
is my favorite, because of the strong Islands vibe. it contains the very subtle
chorus "i love it when you eat it"

TODGER UPDATE SOON?

Tweets from Dave Stewart:

(two weeks ago)

"just started writing my "kind of" autobiography , I mean I'm writing it but
some of it just can't be true !!!"

(today)

"sitting here with Esther Newberg in ICM offices NYC"

(Esther Newberg is one of the most powerful literary agents in the world)

1) Besides wearing a skull ring and now writing his autobiography, does this
recent tweet by Dave also have something to do with Keith?

"good news for rockstars? BBC News - LSD 'helps alcoholics to give up drinking'"

2) A few years ago Dave did an hour long interview with Howard Stern in which
he detailed his own extreme usage of LSD earlier in his career. Here's part one:

(note: Dave was on the show in part to hype his invention of a vibrator/dildo
that you can tune. In fact, you can actually play it like a musical instrument)

I just wonder what Keith calls it, bearing in mind his endearing term for Goddess In The Doorway ?

Actually, he liked it. And Mick said that Keith liked it a lot(weird, huh? Richards - and suddenly praises something Mick does without him)
On the other hand, without his opinion you can not make up your own?

I'm actually not arguing with myself. Yes you are. No I'm not and this is why:

Like you, Mary, I am of the opinion that Keith Richards has been an extremely
difficult person to work with for many years.

BUT I am also of the opinion (and so is Mick) that at least up through the
Bigger Bang era he was more than worth the trouble. There is no one else
in the world Mick could have worked with to produce such fine results.
Keith is the primary creator of the music we all love and the music that
changed the world. Mick could have stomped out on Keith for real at any time
but he would have been also stomping out on the greatest music in the world,
being made at the time. So Mick paid the price to stay.

The question now seems to be, is Keith still worth the trouble? Is there any
chance that what the Stones do next will be still pretty damn great?

The easy thing about our situation as fans is that we don't have to answer
those questions. Mick does. And if Keith is still Mick's best option, he'll
take it. And if Keith's not, Mick won't.

Mick won't do it out of loyalty, and he won't do it for money. He'll only do it
if it is the way he can make the largest artistic statement.

And so far, in my opinion, NOT doing it has been the largest artistic statement
Mick can make. If and when that sad fact changes, we'll get news. Until then,
just more chinese water torture.

In actually think you are quite wrong here revvy....Mick stayed ONLY because it was obvious he wasn't going to be able to better solo than with the Rolling Stones brand. That was why he 'toughed it out'. Hard to take a step or two down after all that success. I don't think generally what Keith has done artistically with the stones since about 83 has been worth the trouble, artistically.
