He played "Fade Away" 5/23/05 in Gothenburg during Devils and Dust...at least that is the show and date that is on my iPod. Damn great version.
Another Boss fan here. Your Springsteen concerts list, please...

I think the best shows I've seen him do were in East and West Berlin in 1988, Brixton and Miami on the Tom Joad tour [...]
You were at Weissensee in 1988?? Awesome!! The Brixton "Joad" shows also were incredible. I have East Berlin on DVD and Brixton on CD (Crystal Cat). Wow!!
Indeed I was. One of the best audiences ever, and a very emoptional show too - for obvious reasons. The sound of 50,000 (or was it more) East Germans singing Born in the USA was probably what put the first cracks in the Wall.
50,000? Make that 200,000, mate...can I help you with the DVD?

Ah, sorry, meant to write 500,000.
Got the DVD. Not the full version. Some of it was censored, I think.

I need to check the NC dates from 77 - 85. Both concerts attended were in Greensboro. The reunion tour in Raleigh 1999, the Rising tour in Miami 2002 (Bono and Dave Stewart showed for that one) Magic tour last year in Ft. Laud. Excuse this abbreviated answer as most time lately has been spent in the "Cool Reggae" thread ..great great moosic my mohn!!

Say, that iTunes only live EP Bruce did, that's not available anywhere on a promo disc or something is it? I know there's the PBS exclusive thing I have to pick up - just haven't justified the $100 price tag on it yet. Same with the Neil Young box in this economy.
If you are referring to last year's "Magic Tour Highlights" EP, that was in fact released on official Columbia/Sony promo CDR's in both the US and the Netherlands, but these would probably set you back a few hundred bucks each.

If it helps, Bruce's Greensboro shows in that time frame were :
28-2-81, 18-1-85, 19-1-85.
(no show there in 1977)

he commented a couple of weeks ago that the audiences in the Carolinas were the best in the US.
