Maybe Pete will get around to making deluxe editons of By Numbers, Quadrophenia and Who Are You. I think those are the only Moon studio albums that haven't gotten the treatment yet. If Who Sell Out gets the treatment like you said.

Yeah, I guess they did, they had it as 1975. Maybe John recorded some tracks that year, I'm not sure. I've read his book (the greatest rock autobiography I've ever read) but don't remember any recording dates in 1975 besides those with Michelle Phillips.

I must have misread the part about other stuff than 1989-2006 studio. Was that 1992 unreleased acoustic album recorded before or after Good As I Been To You? I read somewhere else he did a take of 32-20 Blues for that as well.

Great thread about a favorite album of mine. Papa John had at least one or two unreleased albums that hopefully will come out on Varese (they've released his Wolfking and Jack of Diamonds so far). I'm fairly sure he has unreleased albums from 1982 and 1992; someone else here probably knows better.

Interesting thread. For my money, When The Whip Comes Down is exactly how a good rock song should be mixed/produced. Strong guitars leading the way, solid rhythm, with Mick's voice in the middle somehwere instead of dominating.

Sometime later this year I think there is supposed to be an expanded version of his self titled 1976 album released. It's probably his best album overall, "Carmelita," "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead," "Poor Poor Pitiful Me," and lots of other great songs. That's another one that even casual Zevon fans should own.
