The gas bills are pretty high in the winter buts its cool in the summer. There are plenty of spare rooms if you need a place to stay while in town.

That was 30 years ago, for a free show today, probably the usual 20 to 21 songs but don't be surprised if 18 or 19 only make the cut.
The Vegas line on more than 22 songs is 1,000,000 to 1. Forum: Tell Me

If you had the opportunity to meet Keith Richards and were allowed to ask only one question, what would it be?
I would ask:

Eric Burton and the Animals gave a free outdoor show in Buffalo NY in the summer of 2005
I think he is the only original member and the "Animals" are all new members Forum: Tell Me
I saw Eric Burton and the Animals when they did a reunion show back in the early 80's I think. I was there first North American show. It was in a beautiful old theatre. The entire original band members were there. Great show.
Eric Burton just stood at the mic and sang. No theatrics, very little spoken between songs.
By the way the show was sold out and my friend got the only ti Forum: Tell Me
Lorenz,
I hope it was the long version.

The Doors live, man that must have been awesome!
I'm surprised that there are a lot of "Whitebird" fans out there. I have yet to find anyone who has a copy of it. Forum: Tell Me
I'm sorry I see what you mean. I meant that I could not find an entry in my pocket dictionary for "brainbell"
Although there may be one in a bigger volume.
Could not find "politesse" either. Forum: Tell Me

Have you ever read the lyrics to stones song and then had to look up a word in the dictionary?

Sorry Debra,
With your permission we like to digress once and while.
It has everything to do with the Stones as they were a part of that era as well. Sometimes other conversations rekindle new thoughts on Stones issues.
I'm sure many of the posters here have a ton of related stories and thoughts that interest us all. I love the mix. Forum: Tell Me
I agree, but the money that promoters guarantee is just too hard to resist. I thought I saw a clip of Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman (on his last tour with them)saying something like they didn't want to do the big stadium shows anymore.
They asked Bill what was the highlight of this tour for you and he replied "getting on the concorde and flying back home"

Tyler and Perry did the tribute show for sly and then flew out to San Francisco to do their own concert that night.
Sly shows up in the middle of the tribute for the song "Higher" and leaves before it was over and never came back. Forum: Tell Me
I saw John Campbell in New Orleans at the Jazz Festival. I found out about a year later that he died.
I have the program from the Festival. I remember walking into a little stadium area and waiting to see the next act while eating some good southern food. Then this dude comes out and just started to jam. I immediately looked up the time slot to see who it was and sure enough it was John Forum: Tell Me
Another recluse, that last I heard, retired to Hawaii was Lee Michaels. This dude rocked the Hammond. But he never achieved the fame he hoped for and quit music. I would have liked to have seen his show. Forum: Tell Me
I have to ask this one. Does anyone like the song "Whitebird" by Its A Beautiful Day? Everyone I always ask either hates it or loves it.
Most men hate it
I like the song. I like the hammond organ note and the violin solo. It is the San Francisco hippie sound. Kind of a mesmerizing tune. Forum: Tell Me
I would always attend the first Toronto show with the fellas and then when they return in December or January for the 2nd show I would take her.
But this year no 2nd show in Toronto (not yet) but it does not look good.
However, back in the 70's and early 80's every girl I took to see J Geils never heard of them but fell in love with them every time. Forum: Tell Me
