QuoteU2Stonesfan Mick thinks Seattle had the best crowd participation by far for the first 5 shows especially on YCAGWYW, then the love for Keith felt so good for his introduction! What a great night, I’m riding on 3 hours of sleep didn’t want the buzz of the night to go away almost pulled an all-nighter so the buzz wouldn’t end. Mick's being politically correct, we don't have to be.

Quotekeefriffhards Quotesteffialicia IMHO, SSOH in no way compares to Midnight Rambler. I'd trade in a second. I agree but the only way you can fit SSOH into the show is to drop Rambler or Miss You and we all know Mick won't drop Miss You. I'm sure Rambler will be back if Mick thinks he's fit enough to perform it ?. Here is the setlist from San Diego Sports Arena in

Quotesteffialicia QuoteDEmerson Put me squarely in the Midnight Rambler is my favorite song of the night camp - the one that sends me to that ‘Other place’ only the Stones can take me to. REALLY hoping they bring it back for Foxboro - ‘well you heard about the Boston…’ I'm with you. My shows are in NJ and Philadelphia. It's a masterpiece and I will miss hearing it terribly. I co

Barely 5 pages on a live show. That alone says a lot about the enthusiasm for this tour. Ticket prices are too high for many who know exactly what they're getting. And it seems like there were many empty seats. Seattle was a bad choice.

I hear a very passive crowd in Glendale from the videos. Seems most of the time they were sitting on their hands. Then again, crowds out west are pretty laid back.

Maybe if they actually played 25 songs a show over the last 3 decades people would recognize more songs than the stale dozen or so that get overplayed tour after tour. It's actually a cop-out.

August 28, 1966 Thinking back, what an incredible way to begin my fantastic concert journey! You should write a book. Those two shows alone would be chapter one. Did you keep any stubs? So when did Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Lee Michaels first make your concert oeuvre?

Quotesteffialicia I am also hoping and praying MR is included asap. It's such a highlight for me and many, many, many others! I think your best shot might be at the NYC area and Boston shows. There will be a more masculine hard core fanbase there and it will fit in nicely with that genre.

I was in San Diego for the 81 tour and it was promoted as the first nighttime show of the tour. The local radio made a big deal out of it. We were thrilled. George Thorogood and J. Geils did their sets in daylight. It was a great show.

They should have auditioned other drummers, heck with a basic kit you could of used Ringo Starr. Kenny Jones would have been a great drummer for the Stones but he's too fast and the band can't hang with him.

BV, you don't have to be a drinker to enjoy some great food. The Jazz fest always has some good food stands. At night you can find all the great oyster joints, po'boys and beignets for breakfast at Cafe du Monde next to the French Market. I believe GasLightStreet is an expert on the city.

For the last few tours "Honky Tonk Woman" was the start of the their encore. That song usually showed up around 9 to 11 in the setlist. The ubiquitous clinking of the cowbell by Charlie signified that for the hard core fan of the Stones, the show was over.
