No question: "Memory", one of the best songs in Rock history ever. The studio version of "Fool" is boring, the live versions, e.g. on "It's a Gas in Paris", very interesting.

"Flashpoint" has great moments, right, "Ruby Tuesday", "YCAGWYW", "Factory Girl", "Little Red Rooster", but the sound level is to low, particularly Bill Wymans work on bass is not represented well. Further there seems to be many overdubs or corrections, I guess that the solo of Ron Wood on "Start Me Up" is a studio overdub, it doesn'

I think that the songs on "Their Satanic Majesties" are quite good, but the psychedelic arrangement is crap. It doesn't fit to the Rolling Stones, and the album is for me the weakest in their career ...

The interesting matter is, that e.g. the solo on "YCAGWYW" is not a copy, but an own contribution to the song from Ron Wood. The atmosphere of the song is a complete other one. This is one of his masterpieces through the connecti

Yesterday I heard the whole Paris concert in 1976 in a very good soundboard version. It was Ron Woods concert, the solos didn't fall short to Mick Taylors, particularly on "Hand of Fate" and "YCAGWYW", the great "Punk version" of "Jumping Jack Flash" you can find in a lesser quality on "Love you live". The rhythm guitar parts like on "He

I don't agree that the new songs on "Forty Licks" are of minor quality. Particularly "Keys to Your Love" is a nice ballad, "Don't stop" rocks. "A Bigger Bang" fullfills the promise of the new songs on "Forty Licks".

The concept of outtakes isn't right here. Many songs were recorded on previous sessions, that right, but they are new arranged on "Tatoo You". E.g. "Start me Up" was a reggae song earlier. The only song I know, which is brand new, is "Neighbours".

Yes, I don't see that "Voodoo Lounge", "Bridges To Babylon" and particularly "A Bigger Bang" are albums which fall short to the great ones in the late '60 and the early '70. We have a band of singularity that influenced the music constantly over nearly 45 years. If "A Bigger Bang" would be realized in the early '70, all the reviews would

I don't understand the enthusiasm for this boot. It's soundboard, well, but the source seems to be the stage monitor of Mick Jagger, who is very prominent in the mix. The instruments are "like playing in a living room", no dephths, no live-feeling etc. Mick Taylor is scarcely heard, some moments on "Black Limousine" and "You can't always get what you want&q

You all know that the Stones have an enormous back catalogue with great unreleased treasures. So sometimes I imagine the Rolling Stones should enter the stage and do nothing but unknown, yet unreleased material. This would be a big surprise and show the incredible creativity of the group. "And our greatest hits are for our cover bands ..."

I agree, but the mixing and remastering should be very careful. The difference between the official "Flashpoint" and the excellent boots from the 89/90 tour for example is enormous. The boots are better, they sounds like the real Stones. I love "Flashpoint", but it is "a whiter shade of pale" of the real Stones thing ...

One of the coolest ideas I can imagine would be if the Stones enter the stage and do nothing but songs that aren't released ...
