One of the greatest albums of the Stones. I don't know if it is the best or the runner up or on the third place ... that's not essential. You have hard hitting rockers as "ONNYA", very melodic rockers as "Let Me Down Slow", classic blues ("BOMH"), and great ballads, particularly "This Place is Empty". And Í like the mix which is analytical, you ca

Rory is one of the greatest guitar heros all time, no doubt. But as a Stone, I don't know whether he would have fit to the band or not ...

I think that Darryl Jones is a wonderful bass player. E.g. the drive on the "@#$%&" version in Twickenham on Four Flicks is simply great. I've never heard the Stones rocking so hard. Or his bass figures on "Live With Me" during the "Bridges to Baylon" tour belong to the best the Stones ever performed live. In my opinion he is more prominent in the mix than Bill

My impression about the guitar work of Keith Richards is, that he does a very good job. Often you can hear that he tries to help Ronnie out of a solo desaster, but often he fails - this is a problem of Ronnie. Right, he isn't without mistakes, but often there are interesting mistakes and he adds something new to the song, e.g. the solo outro of "Tumbling Dice". Also I like the &quo

What is Ronnie able to you can hear - I say it once more - on the boot "It's a Gas in Paris", the complete Paris concert in '76. Fantastic rhythm guitar on e.g. "Hey Negrita", fantastic solo guitar on e.g. "Angie" or "YCAGWYW". And I love his manner to play his instrument, but thére is no doubt that there is a decline on this tour. And if you comp

Yes, I'm also sad that this fantastic song isn't on the set list yet. I love the interweaving guitar parts of Ronnie and Keith, and it is simply a great composition ... I hope it will return ...

I think it must be possible here to give a negative review of our band. I'm a Rolling Stones fan since about 35 years. I like the kind of guitar work Ron Wood adds to the band in the last decades more than the brilliant work of Mick Taylor, cause I think that it fits better to the guitar style of Keith Richards. The discussion here isn't in my opinion about guitar styles, it is a discus

In the moment I hear some songs from MSG and Toronto. Ron Woods guitar work is still terrible. His mistakes are so massive that they destroy the songs entirely. So we have a band with one very good guitarist and a pupil who has forgotten to rehearse. Sad, sad , sad.

It is not a matter of playing well or not concerning Ron Wood. It is the difference between music and a series of notes and wrong notes particularly. There is no place for discussion and "personal evaluation", I guess. Of course the style of Ronnie is different from Mick Taylors. And that is right and ok. The connection of rhythm and lead guitar fits to the style of keith Richards much

It was nothing more than a promoting programme of the current tour and the album. No complete songs, only the first minute of "Shattered" and "Back of my hand" from Boston, a little from "Start Me Up" and "Oh No Not You Again" from the press conference gig in New York, that's all. Don't spend your money for any DVD copy.

I have no trouble with the guitar work of Keith Richards, it has the high standard of the last two decades. But the guitar work of Ron Wood is terrible. I like the guitar style of Ron Wood, the connection of rhythm and solo, please hear "It's a Gas in Paris" from 1976, "Hey Negrita" e.g. is great guitar work, the solo on "Angie" is wonderful, the same goes for t

"Keys to Your Love" is one of the strongest ballads of the Stones. I never understood the bad reviews of the new songs on "Licks". The new four songs were a great promise for the next album, and ABB fullfills it. It is simply great.

I don't like it. It is a bad answer on "Sergeant Peppers". There are some good song-ideas, but the psychedelic arrangement doesn't fit to the Stones. They are a rock band with their roots in the blues tradition. If they go back to their roots, they are the best. "Their Majesties Request" is the weakest album in their history in my opinion.

I like "This Place is Empty" above all others. It is a very simple song, but in my opinion one of the greatest songs in Rock history. It is similar to "Beast of Burden" in its intensity. ...ingenious ...

On the first DVD of "Four Flicks" during "Beast Of Burden" you can see Blondie Chaplin playing acoustic guitar e.g., and you can hear him, but he was cut out on the same song on "Live Licks", who is only a shortened version of the Licks version. I guess that there is no mystery, because you can see him playing on many songs on "Four Flicks". I like to hear
