QuoteTheBlockbuster Just My Imagination is not that much of a song, not worthy of playing IMO. I'd much rather hear Heartbreaker, Stray Cat Blues, If You Can Rock Me or something newer like Don't Stop. Don't Stop over Imagination? You gotta be kidding me. One of the worst songs that they've ever done imo, its the definition of wishy washy. The Hampton '81 version

Quote751st Ive been viewing every SFM performance on this tour and they have been kicking the shit out of it on this tour and this performance is the best thus far. I normally follow Rambler but its not working as well on this tour as previous tours. Maybe they are growing tired of it. They are playing Rambler the same way they did from 2012-2014, but Ronnie is replacing MT's solo parts an

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotepowerage78 Yes, Mick Taylor rhythm guitar playing on SFM (1969) is just fantastic, rough and pleasurable. An infernal duo with Keith. Gold Stones era with Mick Taylor. Never as good since he left?. I have always dreamed that Ron can play with so much constancy. Your dreams were heard Ronnie puts in a good effort there, but come on dude the versions

QuoteStonedRambler Was a bit underwhelmed by the Ramblers so far, but last night's Rambler was amazing!! Cool groove by Charlie and Mick's dancing is unbelievable I notice Rambler has had the similar format from 2012-2014 when MT was still playing with them, but Ronnie just can't solo like MT can which makes them all a bit underwhelming for me. Especially with Keith's dimi

^ Mick seems to be channeling 1981 oi that clip. Love it! I think it is my favourite opener, nothing beats the clip of 'Take the A Train' then hearing Keith start that sweet lick whilst the banner was coming up. Wish I could have seen that in person, but alas I wasn't to be born for another 9 years.

QuoteDandelionPowderman It's fair enough that people don't like the solos. What I don't get is how important the solos on SFTD, HTW or GS are for some of you. Some of the best songs in the world and you let a little sour cream in the icing on the cake destroy the experience for you? I'll never understand that, and I'm a guitarist as well. The man doesn't jus

Quotestone4ever And oh yeah DP that is a fine lick from Keith on YCAGWYW Love it, didn't think he still had it in him. Are you satisfied Keith is not going deaf now, i thought he was responding well to questions in recent interviews, a sure sign he's hearing well, and lets be honest the Stones play LOUD, you would have to be very hard of hearing not to hear whats being played .And wit

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteRaiseTheKnife QuoteDandelionPowderman I don't know this, but I have my ideas. If you don't hear well, you won't play or sing well. I don't know how much he plays between tours, but I doubt he sits down daily with a ''practice schedule'' between tours nowadays. Bad hearing can be a factor, but if you know the key and the sc

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteRaiseTheKnife I think Keith just should play more between tours... Just 1 hour a day or even 20 minutes and he could run through some scales and he wouldn't have to play out of tune when the tours starts. I still think he's able to play the songs without mistakes if he would just prepare a bit more. Do you know how much he plays between tours? Wasn'

QuoteKingmanBarstow That YT vid is not great quality sound. Despite what people say about capturing the real moment with their phones. These types of comments are always such a cop out for me. Even if the quality from a youtube vid is not the same as being at the gig, you can still hear bum notes, 'solos' played out of key and out of tune, fluffed intros etc. No amount of 'being

QuoteDandelionPowderman Page can barely play on that album, and that country-tune is LZ at their nadir. However, there is a lot of interesting input from Jones (in particular) and Plant that makes this album stand out in a different way. I like it, but mostly for its weirdness. The songs are hard to grasp as entities, but there is interesting stuff going on within them. Jimmy was at such a l

Quotestonehearted ...despite the fact that Pete Townshend is still a monster on the guitar. Can still be the driving force of a 10-piece stage set-up recreation of his band. What's also amazing is that Townshend is close to being deaf at this point. He's no stranger to substance abuse as well.

QuoteGasLightStreet It seems that all that matters is they did a Stones song that the Stones didn't even consider playing live until 2013, which is strange seeing that it's a rather big song. 17 minutes... The singing is rushed. And the words... "something something something - just a poor girl in a rich man's house" - WHAT!!!!!????????? If you're not going to
