Yes, I like the early Fleetwood Mac stuff too. Sure wish Christine McVie was still with them, Mike - formerly in Georgia, now in the sunshine state of Florida.

Quotedoubledoor Greatest front-man + Greatest rhythm guitar player + one of the greatest drummers (who with BW makes superb rhythm section + many of the greatest songs written in rock + amazing live performances + doing it when rock counted most (60s and 70s)= Greatest band I have to agree 100 percent doubledoor. Good call on this one, especially "doing it when rock counted most".

The 78 tour by far. I saw them at the Superdome in New Orleans. Opening act Van Halen, followed by the Doobie Brothers and then the ROLLING STONES. At the time, it was a record crowd for an indoor concert. Mike

They played in Tampa last night, about 20 miles from where I am at. It was the only show for them in Florida and they said the attendance was around 70,000. I never thought about going, have seen then once and that is enough. Mike

I thought she did an excellent job with it. It has certainly created some nex excitement about the song itself, and no doubt will bring some new Rolling Stones fans along with it. Fine job SB. Good luck with your new career. Mike

Lol, sheesh, all this is much ado about nothing. The board went wackers on an uncomfirmed rumor, thank goodness some sense has been restored. This thread did however make for some interesting reading but all is back to normal now. The Rolling Stones will tour again soon and we can laugh about this long drawn out 14 pages of mostly intelligent chat, with some nonsense and silly banter thrown in.

I have met Rod Stewart, Ian Hunter, Mick Ronson, Ellen Foley, Ian Anderson and Ansley Dunbar to name a few, One of the nicest people I have ever met was Tiny Tim back in the late 1970's. He was in the music store I was running at the time and was looking for sheet music. Extremely friendly and very polite. Mike

I think they tour in 2010 without a doubt. And maybe, just maybe, one more tour after that if we are lucky. As said many times on here, it depends a great, great deal on their health at the time. Mike

Quotemelillo Quoteout of my head Quotesquando Zppelin are bigger than the Stones now as they were then. And that is a fact. Dude, couldnt be more accurate. Totally agree. I love the Stones way more but the fact remains that Zep always resonates better with more people. They just have a diff mystique about them that keeps on and on. producing more fans all the time. Stones are for a select f
