No.1: Wandering Spirit !

Followed by Talk is cheap and Slide from Ron Wood.

Threre were 3 Stones solo albums coming out at the time of Wandering Spirit.
I remember that I made a best-of tape from those 3 CD's:
Main Offender, Wandering Spirit an Slide.

That was really a great album!!

"I got my own album to do", "Now Look" , "1234", "Slide on This" are all topnotch.
Jagger has done good, but as a whole album only "Wandering Spirit" holds up. "Goddess" is not really bad.
Keith waited a long time, but IMO everything he has done is close to perfect. I prefer "Main Offender" over TIC, but in a way "Talk" might be the album with more impact. And Keith also put the great "Wingless Angels" together; similar in spirit to Brian's "Joujouka" album.

Reason I am not wild about "Charlie's" albums is the lead vocals. Bernard is a good vocalist, but he doesn't come close to owning those songs; they own him.

<definately not keiths albums, rock music without vocals doesn´t work for me.>

So in your opinion there is no vocals on songs like Make No Mistake, Hate It When You Leave, Demon and You Don't Move Me? For me, the vocals on those tracks are as soulful and suitable as it gets. But each to it's own...

Not sure if it counts as technically he wasn't a Stone but Ronnie's I've Got My Own Album To Do easily has the best tunes...co-written by George Harrison, Mick'n'Keef.

Other than that it's obviously Talk Is Cheap.
