A quick translation of the last two questions: A Stones tour to celebrate your career of 50 years is being talked about. Can you confirm it? It's under discussion at the moment. We're saying that if we do something it will be next year or in two years. We're at an age when we can't plan too far ahead in the future...To celebrate 50 years on stage, that would be incredible.

Re the Let's Spend The Night Together/Start Me Up promo single - despite what it says on the label, these are not actually from the film soundtrack, but are from Still Life. For the film, Let's Spend The Night Together is from Sun Devil Stadium (13 Dec) and Start Me Up is from Brendan Byrne Arena (5 Dec). Still Life - Let's Spend The Night is from Hampton Roads Coliseum (18 Dec) an

Many, many thanks for reposting this Jagger50. I was at this one, so it will bring back a lot of memories for me...as I remember, security was tight, we all had our bags searched and my camera was confiscated, so I'm glad someone managed to smuggle some recording equipment in!

Would some kind soul please repost this on anything but gigacrap - it keeps telling me I've reached my free download limit, even though it's months (years?) since I've downloaded anything from them...

I play left-handed as well. The main problem is getting hold of decent left-handed guitars at a fair price - the last time I saw a lefty Tele it was over £2000! There used to be a shop on Leytonstone High Street - Lefty's (naturally) - and it just sold left-handed guitars and basses. It was on the top floor of a music shop, and used to have loads of left-handers. Heaven! Anyone know if it

There's a brief preview available on Amazon - it's a completely new version to me, not the b-side or any other I've heard on bootleg. Sounds like an early electric version. Anyone else heard it before?

I have quite a few of these. I know they are quite hard to get hold of, but they are still "official" so I'm a bit reluctant to post them here. What's your e-mail address donnywas?

Yes, this has been asked before...According to Martin Elliot's book, which is fairly reliable, it's from Death Valley Stadium, Clemson, South Carolina on 26 November 1989.

US ones are easier to find (they had more radio stations than the UK, so I suppose a lot more of them were pressed). They do turn up on e-bay, the more common ones for around $10 usually. UK ones are rarer, I mainly get them from dealers and record fairs, but I have seen some turn up on e-bay (as per Mr Steel's post above).

I have quite a few US and UK promo singles. Most US ones are mono/stereo versions of the same song (with blue and white labels on each side), whilst most of the UK ones are the same as the commercial releases (A and B sides) - there are also some variations with the US Hot Stuff/Fool To Cry. However, some of the US singles do have "edited" versions, usually with a fade out 30-60 sec

I've reset using My Control Center - I get the old 'classic' design ok for 'Tell Me', but it refuses to change for 'Hot Stuff'. Sorry, but I think the new design is just awful and not very easy to read at all...

What were you trying to download? What Anti-Virus software do you use? I reckon it's probably a false positive, in fact if you're using AVG I'd stake my entire collection on it. I'm using McAfee anti-virus software, and I don't think it's a false positive. As per previous, it detects it after typing in the 3-letter code, as the timer comes down from 59 seconds.

Apart from the usual problems with crap download speeds and error screens today, I've just had a warning from my antivirus software. After clicking on the letter code, as the timer goes down from 59 seconds, the following viruses/trojans were detected: Exploit-CVE2008-2463 Exploit-XMLhttp.d.gen Beware!

I don't think so...there were no bootlegs made in the UK in the early 1960s, and certainly no Stones boots. Also 'Looking Tired' was not recorded until 1965.

Yes, I have this jukebox single as well. It was also released in cassette form with other covers of Gimme Shelter by various artists. I can't remember all the other artists now, but, I think Jimmy Sommerville and Heaven 17 were involved. It was released in 1993 in aid of the charity for the homeless, Shelter. The Stones' live version was recorded at the Death Valley Stadium, Clemson

Not really sure how rare these are (probably not as rare as some here): I Wanna Be Your Man with 'Stones' misprint on b-side, UK Decca To Know Him Is To Love Him/ There Are But 5 Rolling Stones ('Cleo' and ALO Orchestra), UK Decca 1964 Let's Spend The Night Together / Start Me Up 1981 UK promo single. On both sides it says "From The Film Let's Spend The

There has been a lot of these on e-bay recently, going for silly prices. They are also available on the HMV Japan website - for about £14/15 if I remember rightly. Still a rip-off though!

Following article in today's Observer Business section: "The Rolling Stones are on the verge of ending their 31 year relationship with EMI, dealing a blow to private equity owner Terra Firma, led by Guy Hands, which acquired the label in a £3.2bn deal last summer. Sources say the group is close to clinching a deal with Live Nation, the world's largest concert promotion firm, wh
