Quotewith sssoul here's one of the (fairly) recent "favourite Stones book" threads: >> Does Mick have an autobiography out? << no - he started one in 1983 or so but he wound up giving the advance back; he said he found it boring to go through the recollection/writing process >> Keith's autobiography ... When is that due by the way? << 201

Jimmy Phelge's book, NANKERING WITH THE STONES is also a must read. I mean, I don't know who else was there with these guys, OTHER than Oldham or Phelge that has written ANYTHING credible on the early days, maybe, outside of Bill Wyman, right ?

So far, I would suggest the Andrew Loog Oldham books, "STONED" and "2STONED". There is a, proverbial, treasure trove, of annecdotes in these two books, to keep the Fan fascinated and entertained, for a long time! For 2STONED, I don't know ANYWHERE else the RCA recording sessions have been gone into in such depth, before. The sidetrips Oldham takes into the West Coast M

In the mid-seventies, LOU REED had this great, short haircut, with dyed-in maltese crosses, all over ! It Kind of compliments the discipated look, Keith always had going on !

Why doesn't SOMEONE release this legitimately and reverentially, like say, CRITERION VIDEO on their new blu ray imprint ? It's about time and I don't think ANYONE will be shocked by the language and the goings on...sometimes these Pop Stars are worse than Old Maids, aren't they ? Poor ole LET IT BE has been kicked around on bootlegs now, for so long, it's silly. Lik

There isn't the established "apparatus", if you will, anymore, for any ONE Music Sound to take hold, or flourish for a long time as before. The internet and other assorted, "personal", music listening devices, have turned Music into an egocentric pursuit. People can go ANYWHERE to get ANY TYPE of Music they want to listen to, ANYTIME. We can go to online communities,

Quotemarcovandereijk Well, he (jack bruce) admitted he was driven by jealousy didn't he? But there is a grain of truth in his saying that Cream paved the way for Led Zeppelin and a very large amount of truth that Clapton is much better a guitar player than Page. For Keith commenting on LZ, see: time is on our side. Maybe a hint of what one future Led Zeppelin member felt about them

QuoteSleepy City Quotekeefriffhard4life Quotebaxlap QuoteAmsterdamned I have to admit that both Clapton & Page are not my cup off tea. Jeff Beck is a better guitarist than both of them! exactly I agree, & also it was undoubtedly THE JEFF BECK GROUP (with our own Ronnie on bass) who paved the way for Led Zeppelin, NOT Cream. I think it was The Yardbirds, actually, who made way for

For Rock Music, Jagger and Springsteen are the ONLY inspirational, singers, because there JUST aren't any "training schools" these days to "teach" or "learn", like there were, when these guys were getting their "bones" in Show Business. Bono WAS a great singer, now being a Public Figure Who Writes A Newspaper Column, singing is his "backup"

This is Young's, proverbial, "Moby Dick", and he will NEVER release it. Besides the point, "IF" it does come out, it will be the MOST torrented official release EVER ! And you know what ?...he deserves it, just for being so self-indulgent, AND SELFISH towards his fans. He is lucky he HAS a fanbase to push around with his Crap !

That those outside of the US LOVE Obama is proof he is the WORST thing to EVER happen to this country. If "they" like him, that means they feel his going to suck up to them, and give them ANYTHING THEY WANT from us ! These anti-US ingrates, that we helped free of totalitarianism, and prop up, ever since the World Wars in the last millenium, will always HATE the USA, and it's la
