This could be an interesting "twist" to the SMALL FACES reunion move by Ronnie. Courtesy of contactmusic.com... MICK JAGGER's former wife JERRY HALL refuses to answer the door to ROLLING STONES guitarist RONNIE WOOD - because of his affair with a Russian waitress. Rocker Wood, 61, left his wife of 30 years, former model Jo, for 20-year-old Ekaterina Ivanova earlier this year

QuoteSilver Dagger This is utter shit. A pox on the Beatles/EMI for holding back. They are the worst example of a band neglecting modern technology in order to give fans better sounding albums. The have always treated their fan base like CRAP.

the Oldham book intimates that Marianne was in, what is now called an abusive relationship, to the point, at one juncture, she had her jaw wired. She just has that look of a victim, of someone taken advantage of. Fragile. Sad.

Quotejlowe Lets not forger Brian was also involved in what has now become known as "World Music" long before it became somewhat trendy. It has been suggested he could have gone down the Mike Oldfield route but any speculation has to take account of his general health. That would have needed dealing with for him to create anything. I've read about the Creedence thing before...a bi

What gets me is that the Beatles carp about the bootlegs, over the years...don't they get it ? Basically, there were successful, and don't have to do anything to "sell" their, but it has to "smart", knowing how much ALL the $$$$ they have lost, just because of their stupid behavior. When you REALLY listen to their music, it's Pure POP Crap...the Stones hav

A couple of books that I have read, lately, really "take the piss out" of the Music Busness, in general. One of the more memorable quote, from Pete Townshend, in Andrew Loog Oldham's 2STONED, says about the Summer of Love, on page 347.... Haight-Ashbury was like a @#$%& tourist dive. We came back with psychedelic posters and beads. It was just empty, it was stupid. What was

He told a packed crowd in Liverpool: "If it wasn't for the Irish potato famine, John, George, Paul and Ringo would have come from Dublin." Bono made the remarks while presenting a lifetime

I think Mick & Company, LTD., is MORE than happy to get ANY free publicity, from ANY Personality THAT Has the following that Britney has, worldwide. To them it's just Business, and the more their Brand is bandied about the Media in positive ANY way, it's fine with them. Britney is pretty harmless fun. Britney ISN'T the DEBEL (i.e. DEVIL) Incarnate, that socalled serious

It's interesting that the Stones, after Brian Jones' departure, "picked" an artist who was more akin, in musical taste to Brian Jones, than to someone, that, would go for the long haul. With Mick Taylor on wages, it seems on the surface, that he was just temporary, in someone's mind, anyway.

How's this, courtesy of Andrew Loog Oldham, in his book 2STONED, page 372, 373. "Brian had seemed to handle his break from the Stones in a remarkably sober and practical manner, at least on the surface, and I had admired this newfound aplomb from my distance. I hoped that the surface had some substance and that Brian intended to use the split for positive change and not abuse himself

As per ROCK ON WOOD..the Origin of a rock & roll face by Terry Rawlings (Box Tree, 1999, page 172, 173)..incidentally this book is said to have been made with the complete cooperation of Ron Wood, and often quotes Ronnie on a number of things. "Mick Taylor - a genuinely gentle man- had been with the Stones for a little under four years. He was a gifted guitarist, but had never man
