Quotebeepee Much better, sounds more like the Stones rather than like another Dogshit in the doorway. "Dogshit in the doorway" belle expression, dommage qu'elle ne soit pas de toi mais de Razor ... Il convient de citer ses sources quand on manque d'inspiration ... Amen.

QuoteMathijs QuoteLiveAtHidepark The LP you describe could be "Some Tattos", released on OBR 93005, september 1984. No it's not this one -I have all OBR complete. It's not on Rattlesnake's release -I did that one. My best guess is the tape was a mix -we'd recorded all boots available back than on tape, and Roadrunner ended up next to a fabulous Fingerprint Fil

QuoteMathijs QuoteCarster QuoteMathijs [...] Then in '83 or so, several versions of SMU circulated (some of which have never been released on CD), together with a raw version of Neighbours.[...] If what you are saying is true then bring them on, by all means. Yep. Now for the bad news: I don't have them anymore. They where from a vinyl boot which I had a copy on tape. I always thoug

What I can remember : I first heard Start me Up for the first time in 1981, with the official single release. A few years later, I received a cassette tape including an early version. This tape was later released as "Genius Is Pain" LP, minus an alternate mix of Faraway Eyes similar to the official mix, but the acoustic guitar was low mixed. The original edition have 2 inserts pr

If somebody can help. I am looking for a "Record Collector" issue including an article about a "Black Box" acetate. Complete scan of the article of course welcomed, but if you, the owner, do not have time to scan, please just indicate "issue number ... from ...date..." Thanks in advance.

2CD "High temperature" (VGP) or 2CD "Mean Lean Hits" (DAC). same version of "Breakin'" on both CD's. Keith Richard on vocal. Martin Elliott talks about a version with Mick on vocals released on bootleg. If somebody knows a bootleg with "Breakin'" sung by Mick, I'd be very interested in getting informations about this bootleg.

In a few words, I have just said that Nico & Felix are the most reliable sources. Martin Elliott book is not reliable, too much gaps. I have nothing against them (Martin & the book). His 3rd book will be 3 centimeters for eternity on a book shelf.

QuoteHonestman Got the book here in France just today. I must say that it's a nice surprise, larger in size than I'd expected , far better than the older versions (nice upgrade) and last but not least, great idea to have added these additional shots from the Pathé-Marconi Studios. The front cover is indeed stunnin'. My 2cts, a must have, so for those who still have some doubts,

QuoteNICOS Great!!!!!!!!!!! if I read this I'm out "You Got the Silver" was Keith's first lead vocal on a Stones LP. I always considered "Connection" as the 1st KR lead vocal on a Stones song. It's shared vocals, I agree, but KR sing it all along. Very nice song.

The RTL broadcast of Midnight Rambler is from London, not Newcastle. And yes, the TV recording of SFM from Frankfurt is not on this release. Also missing is the original KBFH mix of BS without saxoph

Hum, I think music is not Olympic Games. There is no "best guitar player in the world". Guitar playing in not a contest. There are great guitar players that just perfecty fit one song and that becomes magic. Gimme Shelter is the perfect exemple. No virtuoso playing, but perfect paying.
