Please post which ones are only available as audience so I can inspect and correct as necessary. Likewise if anyone sees an omission, please post.

....I love the discussions that follow the postings of such lists....

Off the top of my head, I think Rock me Baby with AC/DC is in SB quality from this show.

A song from No Security is definitely SB from this show. I'd have to check which one - Out of Control maybe?

So this is a list where there are any songs from a show that are SB as I have never heard a complete Altamont SB?

Correct. If you just want complete shows, here's what I have:
Note: ALD included as SB source

Hi blakeeik, there's a lot of aud recordings on your list

Hamburg 70, Hamburg 73, Cologne 73, Essen 73, St Louis 78, St Paul 78, St Louis 78, Greensboro 78, Madrid 82, Bristol 82, Fort Worth 97 etc

But I was wondering.....what's this 05/30/76 you're speaking of being available complete on SBD recording? That's gotta be a mistake. Or is there something I don't know of? We only have a fair-G aud recording of that one (Faked And SHaved)

BTW, we also have one SBD track from 09/28/73 (1st) (Brown Sugar) and one from 06/04/76 (Angie)

Thank you Eric, that is great feedback.

Coincidently I am sorting through by database fixing a lot of errors and I dumped my latest out for scrutiny. I have not verified them all yet. Here is an update:

Hamburg 70, was included as SB with MD-2004 Get Your Leeds Lungs Out!
Essen 73, Hamburg 73, ie Jean Clark Memorial BBQ - I know the story, but am not convinced these recordings are audienced sourced. They sound too good!
Cologne 73, Eau de Cologne 1973 has the full show (labled 2nd show) and part of the show in SB. The SB sounds bad enough to doubt it is a SB.
St Louis 78,,St Paul 78,,Greensboro 78, 05/30/76 flat out mismarks on my part
Madrid 82, Singing Under the Rain sounds like audience, or crappy SB but heard it was from Pro-shot video???
Bristol 82, I had Bill Wyman We Miss You marked SB, clearly it is not
Fort Worth 97, yes, like Stuttgart 1999, label says SB but it is (FANTASTIC!) AUD

Good catches with the Pais 1976 pro-video for angie and watchit's BS from Munich. I need to correct those as well. Thanks!

Great

So we disagree about them 1973 shows and Madrid 1982 then.

Here's 3 more additions: Marquee 1971, Montreal 1972 (JJFlash - from TV) and New York City 11/13/81 (3 tracks)
When it comes to shows after 1982....I have no clue

cheers

Time to sort out 2003-07-30, Downsview Park, Toronto, CAN, the SARS benefit.

There are only FOUR true snbs from this concert - Start Me Up, HTW, Satisfaction, JJF, from the official DVD, excellent stereo snd. & obviously so.

There are two sources for the complete show.

One is a very nice upfront, clear audience recording taken from the main front-of-house speakers. We are very familiar with this type of sound. My copy is from Keesie's post as "Toronto Rocks VGP 354", cover stetes "Original Soundboard Recording", obviously not so.

The other source is curious. My copy was posted by U2Stonesfan. All the covers I've seen state "Mono Soundboard", wrong on both counts. If you put your headphones on you can clearly hear STEREO audience in between the songs, folks clapping, chatting left & right. The music does appear to be MONO though and is very good although you can hear "space" between the music & the recording device.
Here's my take on what this is.
This is a stereo audience recording & the source is one of the speakers dotted around the field, the recorder is in front of one of those speakers. That's why the sound is so good. I found a site way back with lots of pix of the show including a couple of close shots of the speakers but I can't find that page now. I might have posted some pix on Urbansteels post of the show but, again, I can't find the link to that here.

Here's our own take on the show

And a pic from that page showing the speakers & video screens dotted amongst the audience.

Here's the wiki page for the show including a shot of the audience.

A couple more
1981-11-27, Carrier Dome, Syracuse, NY
1981-11-28, Carrier Dome, Syracuse, NY

Are these, in fact, available as snbds. They weren't part of the '81 flood that was posted on Rocks Off when they had a tracker. I've seen artwork claiming they're snbd. but not so. Both shows are on DAC 033 in very good aud. quality.

While we're on 1981 anyone got Nov. 9 & 10 Hartford but the audience recordings, I've got the snbds but it would be nice to have both sources.

Really SBD sources of this shows or EX-AUD? Can you post it here? (the SBD ones)

Well, For some boots its hard to say what the original source has been. And I'm not shure where the Stars in the sky/Jean Clarke M. material came from. But they recorded quite a lot of those 73 gigs with their mobile like all 3 Essen dates.
I've been around then so I know for shure . .

Notes:
* Studio, rehearsals, TV/BBC specials not included
* I think my list may be missing a few at the moment, especially from abiggerbang
* I left a few things unresolved: Jean Clark Memorial BBQ, SARS, Copenhagen 73, Pasadena 94, and maybe a few others...

Please post corrections!

thanks to Eric, vox, HydePark for the corrections!

Try these:

Dates with songs recorded in SB quality:

Of course, there may be some mistakes. Let me know, it won't hurt my feelings.

Like the few tracks from Essen '73, I'm not sure. I have a "?" by a few recordings and those are not listed on these lists.

If someone is certain of the true sources for these, please post. Thanks.
