I don't find the first couple of shows all that hot -Vancouver, Seattle, and San Francisco. I think the Hollywood show was the first good one. Also, the Fort Worth shows aren't the best, they sound a bit lame, slow and tired too me. Mathijs

Yep, the Tokai Loverocks are quite good, but the good ones are more in the 800 pounds/1200 euro range. Jo, I dind't know it was for a daughter, the Epiphone LP Standard might be a bit heavy in weight to play for more than an hour. If she's a Greenday fan (which really isn't a bad band!), the the choice is easy: Gibson Les Paul Special faded series. They are about 500 pounds,

Well, and don't know the exact reason, but somehow the 1972 tour peaks right in the middle: they were hot as hell from playing 25 shows, and weren't too spaced out on drugs yet as is the end of the tour a bit. The Mobile, Washington, Norfolk, Charlotte and Akron shows are to me the pinnacle of any R&R tour to this day. The sheer energy flowing from the stage is unprecedented, and no

I would suggest you go for either Fender, Tokai or Epiphone. Don't fall for the "American Made" is better than anything

Brian's last session with the Stones was two days: february 16 and 17 1969, where he added autoharp on You Got the Silver. He is credited for conga's on MR, but there is no conga on MR.... His last real session with the Stones was June 1968, when they did Sympathy for the Devil. If you watch the One+ONe movie, it's actually quite sad. They put them in a soundbooth, gave him an a

All I know about the 1971 tour is that Keith played TWO Ampeg Dan Armstrongs: one equipped with the Modern Drive humbucker tuned to standard tuning, and one equipped with a prototype Treble Drive single coil PU for open G. By 1971, he already removed the low E string. If he broke a string during Bitch, he probably just restrung it. Mathijs

Miss U., The funny thing is, I am not a "keitholic", nor anti-Brian in any sort of form. I indeed do think he was only important from 1963 until late 1964, and then it was clear that Jagger and Richards ARE the Stones. Brian was a multi-instrumentalist, but mainly to his disadvantage: he wasn't particularly good at any instrument, something you see more with multi-instrumentalis

now come on lads, be nice, Miss U can't help it, she's just a bit obsessively compulsive about poor old Brian. And she's having a tough day because poor Brian has just been immortalized as a Marsian with a blonde wick. Cut her some slack! Mathijs

my god, that is truly one ugly statue! pfew! Did he just take acid? Now I understand why to people of CHeltenham weren't too happy with all this, and even didn't want a Brian Jones street. A statue like this devaluates all estate in the street by at least 25%... Mathijs

Actually very simple: 1. Credits are divided by author and by performer. For record sales, both author and performer gets money (about 20% of total album sales for the author, 5% for the performer). For radio and TV play, only the author gets money. Everytime Brown Sugar is played in Barcelona, Richards gets about $0.10 on his account, and Bill Wyman gets nothing. TV and Radio stations keep bi

? not a dominating force on Some Girls? Some Girls is the blue print of Keith Richards. Finally he gets to do what he does best, playing fierce rythm guitar and driving the music. If Some Girls is not a Keith album, what is? Mathijs

Their Englishness shines through every album they made. Fingers, Exile all interpret American music, but seen through the eyes of Englishmen. It's in the production, the sound, the language, it's everywhere. Mathijs

What we have tried to do with Flip the Switch -and I have said this many times before- is try to emulate a bit of the sheer raw energy the Stones had in the 70's. It's not about technique, copying solo's or wearing a wig, but about knocking the audience of it's feet by the sheer energy of the music. Compared to the Stones, we had a much more simple job: we bought the same amps

Well, in 2034 we'll all still be 29, so I'd say a reunion tour of Flip would be possible! But if I'd replace Wood, and Erik would replace Richards, what to do with our very own Duijf? I don't feel like going on stage without Duijf, so then we would have Duijf, me and Erik, then it just takes two more and we do have a Flip reunion.... I would like to exchance our paychecks
