QuoteStonesAustria The photos are all insignificant crap, there is perhaps not a single one that I had not seen before. So far the photos are the only pages I have seen through and more than half of them are unseen to date, many of them coming from private archives (i.e. Jane Rose's and Patti Hansen's). I wonder where you did see them before. I think both photo sections are great, es

Thanks for the info! Here's the direct link, RW appears mid-programme for about 8 minutes. . I'm quite sure the interview wasn't done today, so "meeting Keith last night" could refer to late September/early October as well. N

I'm glad that Ronnie Wood didn't follow his first idea to release an album with cover versions of 70's-tracks. Otherwise Lucky Man would be a cover version of that ELP-song and Fancy Pants a song of that dreadful bubblegum-rock band Kenny. Now these two songs are two of my favourites on I Feel Like Playing. N

During the same time of recording I Feel Like Playing, Wooden Records released The First Barbarians including Forever. So I'm sure that RW was aware again of his "forgotten" composition of 1974. N

Great job honestman, I wish I was any good in photoshopping/ cleaning up pictures, too. The picture of Bill looks like from 1974. I think it was taken outside, as the light on his trousers looks like sunlight rays coming through the trees. Judging from his sweater this picture must be from 1946 though. LOL. The b&w photo comes straight out of Bravo-mag from early 1976. The coloured

The b%w photo appeared in German teenage magazine "Bravo" in early 1976. So I guess it was taken by one of their house photographers (either Didi Zill or Bubi Heilemann), but I can't tell for sure. N

I only know these two photos, which were taken in December 1975 at Musicland Studios in Munich. Bill Wyman was not there (the one photo with him is a collage. Nice sweater, by the way...), but it was one of the first sessions with Ronnie Wood. N

I always considered Hurricane being a Stones-track... Run Rudolph Run and/or The Harder They Come from his first solo single or You Win Again from the Hank Williams-tribute would have been much better choices IMO. N

Another great show, thanks for posting. Ronnie said that Lucky Man was written together with Eddie Vedder and Bob Rock. I'm glad it's not a cover of that famous ELP-song... Line-up is Steve Ferrone (dr), Darryl Jones (bass), Bobby Womack & Bernard Fowler & Blondie Chaplin on backing vocals, Ronnie on guitar and vocals. The AC/DC (sic) track is strange. Sounds as if A

>"The Big Beat" is a great book. Haven't thought about it for years. Need to find my copy. Hope it wasn't lost in the flood. Speaking of Max Weinberg's "The Big Beat"-book: Ever discussed Bernard Purdie's claims on this board, that he was used for recording drum tracks (substituting for Charlie Watts) at Stones-sessions in the 60's?
