The Beatles- Anthology- Paul & John - "We Love You"

In the above mentioned book Macca say's that John & himself went to help Mick w/ a song idea he had and they went "And WE knocked it out real quick "

By the context of what Paul is saying it seems he is stating that John, Paul & Mick wrote the song...

I had to make this post just to see if I'm misunderstanding it or what, but I've never heard of Lennon/Macca ever contributing lyrics and or music to this tune.

Just backing vocs. Anyone know any diff? Or what's the deal?

"Well my heavy throbbers itchin' just to lay a solid rhythm down"

I'm pretty sure he meant they knocked out their vocal part pretty quick, which I am sure they did.

These rare Beatles/Stones collaborations are quite fascinating. Mick & Keith on the set for "All You Need Is Love", Brian on sax for "Baby You're A Rich Man" and "You Know My Name", The Beatle photos on the 3-D TSMR cover, etc.

Still not clear if John & Paul also sang on "Dandelion". Sounds like it to me.

Actually, Brian didn't play on Baby Your A Rich Man, but he did on You Know My Name (Look Up the Number).
But what is interesting about Baby Your A Rich Man is:

Personnel
John Lennon – double-tracked vocal, clavioline, piano
Paul McCartney – harmony vocal, piano, bass
George Harrison – harmony vocal, guitar, handclaps
Ringo Starr – drums, tambourine, maracas, handclaps
Eddie Kramer – vibraphone
George Martin – producer
Keith Grant – engineer
Personnel per Ian MacDonald[6]
Mick Jagger was present during the recording session, and his name also appears on a session tape box, possibly indicating that Jagger sang backing vocals on the song
(taken from Wiki and Revolution in Your Head)

These credits are missing the sax part, which I believe was played by Brian (forgot where I read it). Interesting if Jagger sang on it.

Hey whitem8, I'm going to Laos in October. Where did you stay in LP?

Strange I don't hear a sax on Baby Your A Rich Man at all. ALso reading the entry on Revolution in the Head and Lewison's book, there is no mention of sax at all.

Great you are going Tele! FANTASTIC! I wouldn't stay where I did, it was ok, but small and there are some really neat places there...what is your budget? Are you only going to Laos?? If you ever come through Jakarta I have a guest room you are welcome to.

Yes, and Dylan told John to 'Threw his love away' and he did and suddenly he wrote some fine lyrics...Chuck Berry teached everybody Rock'n'Roll and so on..

Maybe Macca was talking about I Wanna Be Your Man or mixing both songs up.

No Macca specifically talking about we love you... if any one is really interested in the complete quote let me know and I'll get the book out and type it out verbatim.
