What you're after, Happy Jack, is the first English pressing of the record. I recall listening to this when it came out & noticing that the end of the song just stopped dead, no fade out. I don't recall for how much longer it goes than the cd version. I have a tape of a Canadian pressing from the mid 70's which fades out exactly as the cd one. There is also another version

You beat me to it by a minute sssoul. The trax I got were in .rm format & I found 9 of them. To save them to your HD, click on the link, its a small blue speaker gif, to start it playing. Once its going you can pause it but don't close. Next, go to Tools>Internet Options>Settings>View Files, this opens up your internet cache. Scroll to the end & you'll see a .rm ico

Thx for Stereo Satisfaction, I'm constantly in wonder of how much of their rocky stuff is made up of mainly acoustic instruments, another one that springs to mind is Not Fade Away.

At least they've fixed the road between Melbourne & Geelong, the Westgate's going to be a bit crowded if they do have a concert there tho.

Thx for upping these. There are 2 versions of Handsome girls. I've got mp3's of the Swingin Pig 4 cd set which appear to be identical to the Dandelion set, except that the Dandelion cd's have extra trax. CD1 seems the same. CD2 Dandelion has extra trax 12-14. Trax 12 & 13 are the last 2 you've posted & track 14 is 'Don't Look Back' with Peter Tosh

Very nice, thx for upping, but what happened to Charlie at the start of GS? It takes him ages to find the right beat, the rest of the band keeps ploughing on & you can hear Charlie holding back every so often, trying to figure out what's happening then coming in again but still not getting it. You can hear him pause after the first verse, Keith must have been glaring at him, & he fin

I've heard the piano version once when I was driving in my van (I'm in Melbourne Australia) & I could hear the piano quite distinctly even thru the engine noise. I phoned the radio station when I got home & the dj said that what they played were from special radio-station-only hits compilation cd's, so I guess it's a version that is not publicly available. Given th

Haven't had any in years, I hear it's around tho. Did you know that Owsley is living in Australia, & Chip Monck (beware of woodstock brown acid) has been here in Melbourne for quite a while. For the '72 Toronto show I had tickets but some friends of mine couldn't go so they gave me a couple of tabs. It was quite different then...

There was a mention somewhere (shidoobee? rocksoff?) that the best camera crowd in NY, who were used on the licks HBO, haven't been booked, so it doesn't look likely.

Yup, I've been a pro musician for about 30 years. I used to play the folk clubs & coffee lounges here in Melbourne, but the past 5-6 years I've been concentrating more on childrens dancing, the heel & toe, do-si-do sort of stuff. I also do a fair bit of blues, Blind Blake, Robert Johnson, & I'm a Leadbelly nut on the 12-string.

Here in Australia we are green with envy at what the rest of the world has. Our monopoly telco (Telstra) has capped d/l speeds @ 1.5mbs. ADSL2 is on the horizon but will be limited to the cities at first. I've got 512/128 unlimited d/l-u/l (which is above average) for which I pay $80/month which is about average. We are not happy but there's sweet f/a we can do about it.

They were doing a lot of recording on this tour. Besides Still Life & Lets Spend the Night Together they were also recording for The King Biscuit Flower Hour ( the same crowd that gave us Brussels '73)

Yup, punch in 'rolling stones' & you get lotsa other bands besides the stones but I think that's the way they work. I check in every day & just trawl thru the search results. Most activety seems to be in the initial couple of days of the posting & then it settles down. Keep trying, you're bound to find something

I'll be 56 in Feb so I guess that puts me in the 'elder' category. In 1972 I was in the middle of my dope smoking-acid dropping faze so any music I listened to was filtered thru that sort of mind-set. I do recall, however, that it was an exciting album. They were in their post-BJ era & were without a doubt the best Rock-n-Roll band in the world. I saw Exiles as a continuati

A while back a complete collection of Elvis showed up so I d/l the lot, the files were compressed a fair bit but they sound fine. I figured that someday, somewhere, someone would ask for an obscure Elvis song & I would have it. Here 'tis. Elvis Presley - Santa Claus is back in Town

I've got this (off Rocks Off) but it's late. If no one else ups these I'll put them up tommorrow. TD has a big chunk missing in the middle tho, A fair few of these new '81 recordings do have bits missing, but hey, they're free, & they're pretty good snbd recordings - not sure about Mick's fake American accent tho, & the outfits he wore during this tour..
