It would have been about 1985, Hansel. Met my wife 19 years ago & it would have been about a year before that when I was living in Ascot Vale.

I've got very little from '97 so can't help much. The Totonto rehearsals are nice snbd quality, 13 trax, the cd is called 'Closer than Close' on Sister Morphine. There's also 13 trax from the gig they did @ the Double Door in Chicago, 18/9. Very good aud recording. Several pressings all with 'Double Door' in the title One I haven't got (&

Actually, RJ sang 'the blue light was my BLUES, & the red light was my mind' on both takes of LIV. I presume it was sir Michael who changed that one word.

Here ya go Stones89. I've got this as 'Did Everybody Pay Their Dues' on the Invasion Unlimited cd 'Olympic Recording Sessions June 1968' It's not the cleanest recording, don't know whether there are better ones around, but you can clearly hear the SFM backing on this. Did Everybody Pay Their Dues

Just burned this to CD & it's playing nicely, thank you. Noticed that there are none of those annoying little gaps between trax that you get with mp3's. Is this always the case with .wma files? I've never bothered with wma's but if it is the case then maybe I should use them when upping live recordings. What probs do Mac users have with playing wma's?

There have been so many posted on Dime & RO recently that I haven't had time to sit back & make sense of it all. One thing that does grate in all the ones I've listened to tho, is Sir Michael's fake American accent. He's a Rolling Stone, he didn't need to sound like something he isn't/wasn't.

There are some of us who are quite happy with mp3's. It is easy to see via a spectrum analyser whether a song has been sourced from a 'lossy' mp3 or whatever. Future generations can make up their own minds as to what they listen to. Lets not forget those who are on dialup & for whom torrenting large files is not practical. As long as the source is mentioned I don't

Spotlight on Lou Rawls... my childhood is disapearing, took me a while to get into the James Brown, Wison Picket, Lou Rawls sort of stuff, but when I did, I realised how good they were. Mick is just continuing the moves these guys started...

I host a Folk music programme here in Melbourne (3RRR Fm, we're online @ rrr.org) & several years ago I had the pleasure of interviewing Byron Berline the fiddler on Country Honk. He was a quiet sort of guy, not at all fazed by the fact that the Stones asked him to play for them. He mentioned that they couldn't get a decent sound so they just put him outside the studio, stuck a mike

Welcome to the world of mass downloading ohcarol. Download managers are apps for d/l'ing a bunch of stuff with little effort. Say you've got a page with a ton of pix on it. Rather than clicking on each pic separately, you tell the d/l manager to save them all & it will do it automatically. A very good example which I am d/l'ing even as we speak is the Dog'n Cat page
