In the old days, people would have been sure that the thread title sounded like a stutter. ;-) "next album release" would be worth another few threads, though.

B2B is Keith's best album with the Stones as a vocalist, and this track is partly responsible for that. One of his best Stones vocal songs after the 1989 reunion.

What's the status of his upcoming solo album "The Bura". When is the CD going to be released? Is this just going to be available to his subscribers or are there some spare CDs on offer for the general public, too? I hope it's the latter.

There is no need for a radical idea for a new Rolling Stones album. The band would have recorded and released a new Rolling Stones album if they had wanted to do so. But apparently, they don't. It's sad but I've accepted that by now.

Dangerous Beauty Jump on Top of Me Highwire (doesn't this one always get mentioned when this question comes up?) Brand New Car (maybe in a town that's famous for its cars?) She Saw Me Coming Also: "Don't Stop" and "You Don't Have To Mean It" deserve a comeback to the set list.

At first, I didn't get the appeal of this song. But then, I accidentally came across it when it played as part of the soundtrack to a TV movie I watched together with my mother at one time during the mid-90s. I have loved the song ever since. There is a really uplifting quality to it. So relaxing.

QuoteStoneburst To be honest, if Taylor was looking for a quick buck he'd get himself a Jagger lookalike who could blow a bit of harp and occasionally hit the right notes, then some reprobate with a Telecaster in open G, and tour with his own Stones show. Hell, I'd pay to see that. But he has too much self-respect to do it, and I think the more of him for that. Even when he breaks out C

OK, so the article indicates that Taylor's personality underwent a radical change caused by his drug intake in around 72 or 73. These days, it is common knowledge that "recreational" drug use can trigger psychic illness such psychosis (Barrett, Green, Kirwan) or depression (who knows how many other rock stars) or others, and a change in somebody's personality is usually a

The Rolling Stones were not an "oldies act" when they released their most recent single, "Doom And Gloom". That one sounded very contemporary. Enough said.

I'd say it would be very nice if the Stones would have an original "song with a twang" on their next album.

Many good ideas have already been posted on this thread. I like Don Was so having him back as a producer would be nice, too. That mix engineer who worked on the new GRRR! tracks, Manny Marroquin, has done a really good job, so he should definitely be back. The addition of Mick Taylor playing lead guitar on several tracks is a great idea, too. In exchange for this, Ronnie Wood should get to

Streets Of Love only came alive in concert because only by then, they when they had actually fleshed it out during rehearsals. The studio version is nothing more than a demo turned single. Had they put the work in already when they were recording the album, the fans would love the song, but as the band didn't, most fans think it's a dud.

A good song, maybe my favourite of the "Four Licks". They should indeed have recorded an album's worth of song there and then, even though they had no immediate use for them at the time. They sound pretty inspired. Not doing that was a huge missed opportunity. So we must be happy with what we got. "Stealing My Heart" really should have been the 2nd single from "40

You know, in the 60s, the Stones got complaints about their music, too: from people of other generations than their core fanbase. You are right this would be no different today, like the recent U2 album giveaway has shown. It's just that today, it would be people who are younger than the band that would complain, whereas in the 60s it was people of an older generation than the band. The l

Is "Mr. Bad Guy" still out of print? It should receive the deluxe reissue treatment. Or at least, a reissue/reprint specialist label should bring it back on CD.

No, thank you, but the Stones playing a Faces song feels all wrong. Ronnie singing a song on stage with the Stones, either before or after Keith's set, should be the way to go. Too bad Ronnie has not sung a lead vocal on any of his Stones albums ... yet.

This one holds a special place. I first got into the Stones' music in my teens in the 90s, and Mick Jagger's "Wandering Spirit" was my first Stones-related album. After I enjoyed that one quite a lot, I got curious about what he had done recently with his band. Yet, I did not want any live album. So I got the "Highwire" CD single per mailorder from out of the catalog

You don't seem to realize that this offer is not intended for music fans from the general public at all but instead, for the well-to-do gourmet and his wife and friends from the jet-set who would pay anything to experience a healthy lifestyle. Sure, at first glance, the offer sounds hilarious and really far out there but it's obviously meant for people with a high income who want to

She's a great singer. I first noticed her doing backup vocals on Paul Carrack's "Beautiful World" album. Some years ago, I had an older one of her solo albums on my wish list. How it happened that I never got it, well, I just don't know. Thanks for pointing out she's got a new one out. So I can try again ;-) There seems to be very little information on the content
