Andreas, the mini album cover is one of the coolest faces promo items for sure. I have loads of the postcards but the mini covers are really tough to find. I gave one of the mini covers to you know who and he thought it was awesome! There is a motorised store display of the album cover too but I have never found one in a decent condition. Not sure if I posted this yet but it's a pret

Totally fake (IMHO). The Keith is actually a pretty decent effort the 'Keith' is pretty good but it gets shakey in the "hards" bit. The end of 'Ronnie' slops totally the wrong way and the 'Wood' is a joke. The long bit of the J in Jagger is supposed to link to the bottom of the J not just look like a crossing out (multiple other flaws). Look at the up an

Urbansteel, you really have done a magnificent job on the promo CD category. When I started collecting someone far wiser than I told me to pick a category and stick to it. Of course I stupidly ignored them and if the insurance premiums don't break me the storage costs will :-) I am over faced by very little but as a collector the enormous quantity of promo CD variations drives me

Silkcut, it is unusual for a concert advertising poster to be sold in such a way but it has been known. What is the exact size? I have loads of posters to trade if you have any spares.

Inspired by the signed guitar thread. Here is a printed signature Japanese Promo guitar to celebrate the first Japanese tour. I gather there were around 100 of these made, they certainly don't come up that often.

trainarollin, I probably agree with you but like the Ronnie ones it is a really weak example. I have never got one that bad from Keith but I have stood next to someone as they got one that makes this one on eBay look carefully done. Getting a good autograph is not as easy as being in the right place at the right time. You need to pick a "convenient" moment, you need a good pen an

This old chestnut again :-) Authenticity of autographs is an in exact science at the best of times and the thing I most definately get asked most about. As a hard core memorabilia collector I am a big fan of signed items and to that end I have collected 100's of signed Stones items the vast majority of which I have got done myself. The bottom line is that they are not easy to get. Don

A break from Charlie autographs. Here is the Licks end of tour party invite (invite and wrist band inside a custom tin) Here is the lolly that guests were given as they left. I think I have already posted a picture of a rubbish bag that was decoration for the "street fighting man" entrance.

Andreas, Glad you are turning a blind eye on the flats! I could keep this Charlie autograph fest going all night if we openned it up to Charlie signed photos, posters, books etc.... and I would be photographing all week if you switch to signed Ronnie stuff! Always very happy to discuss trades, it's the best way to build a collection (I actually have a 4th signed 10" ). I also have

Some Charlie CD's. The 'My Ship' is a single so is that cheating again as you did ask for signed solo Charlie albums. Now this one is for the seriously addicted collector only! I just love the 'From One Charlie' 10", lovely thick card with simple and beautiful Charlie artwork. Signed left, signed right, signed right and dated.

Harm, yes there are lots of things I would still like to get. Completing a Stones collection is totally impossible so there is always something to get! Given I can never compete with the likes of JR on the vinyl front I have tended to focus on memorabilia (posters, passes, press kits, displays, promo items etc...). Here is another radio (I posted the 40 Licks promo one before). This one was

Ymestones, I am afraid Tim and Dear Doctor are correct. This is a merchandise poster which will have been produced in tens of thousands and therefore is effectively worthless. Personally I love the skelton artwork but it doesn't solve the problem it is very common. Unfortunately very few items that are ever sold as merchandise ever become worth a great deal.

Good question silkcut. I have always been told it was Australian and certainly a Kiwi collector friend of mine has dug one up from downunder so it always made sense. Let's investigate further. In the meantime here is one of my letters used by Bill in his book (without permission). Here you can see the hair sample referenced and the envelope too...

Peter, The problem with the sites you mention is they deal mostly in SF and stuff and there are so many more poster delights out there. It is also very difficult to determine a posters "value" from an advertised price. If you check all 3 sites only 1 has a Knebworth poster and it is listed at $3,850. Actual prices achieved can be lower or higher, in the case of a Knebworth poster

Rockman, I am afraid Bill's signed stuff doesn't really fetch much of a premium over non signed stuff as his signature really isn't worth anything unless it happens to be missing from an otherwise complete period set of autographs. Given the book is available at a fraction of the price when it came out then it would probably be a result to get the c.£20 cover price for it.

diane d, I now see the one pictured is only a stock photo, sorry! Very lazy if they have the original to sell not to photo it and show the difference. WV isn't universally overpriced but some prices are outrageous and that gives them a high price perception. There are some great value posters in fabulous condition that often get more on eBay from private sellers. You can't complai

diane d, the link you posted with the uncut proof for $750 is not a first (original) printing. As per the poster JR posted above the 1st printing has a white line around the top of the dice. Wolfgangs vault have had 1st printings in the past but they sell them at the top of my $1,500 range. They sell the 2nd printing for $350 which is commonly available at no more than $200. They do indeed bu

Value totally depends on condition. Not in good condition at all sounds like a $200 to $300 example. The 2nd/3rd prints are available for that so it would sell to someone who is not condition fussy but wants an original. A really nice original can sell for $1,500 but they are available in the $750 to $1,000 range.

dcba, I am afraid no such deals exist (at least to my knowledge). It is economics not exclusivity which rules this world. They are niche titles and the economics of tiny margins on large production runs of music titles which sell badly just doesn't work when you can print Harry Potter instead. The exception to the Genesis rule is 'Postcards from the Boys' which was a collection

I couldn't or won't anyway sell any reproduced material but I do buy, sell and trade sold out books as well as stock all current titles. In fact if you called Genesis asking to sell back a sold out Stones title they don't touch them and would often recommend you call me. Just as with memorabilia there are plenty of sources of reproduced material out there but I am not one of
