Yes. I saw Joe about a year and a half ago on the Analog man tour. I prefer him on his own. Heard other fans complain about his voice but maybe it's an acquired taste since I like it. Agree Joe must be in for the money. Henley would be no Fun. He has stated he still expects to get the James Gang back together but we Will see.

Quotebathsheba I am a shy poster but It seems to me an interesting thread. I think KR has an enormous and fragile ego and he's quickly and easily threatened by certain other personalities. I think the closeness of DB and MJ whatever it was made him feel insecure with Mick. So he sneers at DB's music. I enjoy the site but I don't really understand why some conversational idea

I'm just a casual Eagles fan so take my comment as basically uninformed. When I Saw the Eagles a couple years ago, I basically left the show thinking they take Themselves to seriously. Not so sure it would be a fun band to be in... I think Joe Walsh is great and hope he will eventually get to a James Gang tour. I believe they played a couple shows years ago.

In my opinion Moonlight Mile might be the most difficult to pull of properly. I remember being slightly disappointed in the version they played on the No security tour. Though I was glad they played it - the version seemed to lack the "texture" of the studio version. 1999 was a long time ago so I should dig up the live version again for a refresh.

I didn't see this in the thread but didn't Bowie record Let's spend the night together? I really like Bowie's last album - very cool the way he kept it so Secret. Earl Slick has always worked well with David's music. Earl seems to Be underrated - he was all over Lennon's final album Double Fantasy too. Anyway it really Doesn't surprise me that Bowie is not to

Four Flicks. All three shows are great. Club show is really good with a wonderful Set list. I was at the stadium show - Twickenham and that is good too.

QuoteNaturalust QuoteChacal QuoteDoomandGloom Bobby Keys has taken a big chunk of the legacy with him and I'm pained to think of CYHMK without him. That being said I firmly believe life is for us living and I'm certain those of us attending will have a splendid time. Now that's it's sunk in, Bobby's absence alone should shake things up a bit but bringing back Bill would

QuoteDrPete Was disappointed that no clip of the Stones performance appeared. If they can show Betty White making out, they can show Mick licking Ron s face! In 1978, I'm not so sure it was a face lick but two tongues meeting. Mick's Voice was shot which was a shame. The tongue thing seemed out of place - but 1978 was a long time ago and Mick was probably looking for the shock value

I liked the album. Have a feeling Mick was disappointed in the final product Otherwise there would have been more promoting after it's release.

Great news! I saw Roky at a club in Chicago two years ago. The show was good But the sound was terrible. The club was virtually a cement basement - so what Can you expect.

Quotegeorgelicks Here's a good example for the lack of new album since So, back on 2005 (when people were still buying albums) ABB debuted at #3 on the U.S. chart and sold about 550,000 copies total, yet only contributed about $6 million, GRRR has sold half of that and is their best selling album released since then. This means ABB just barely achieved "gold status" whic

The music industry has changed so much which is probably the biggest reason for their lack of new material. I suspect sales on their last studio effort was Disappointing. As fans we know that sales isn't everything ....but their business Managers could be telling them otherwise.

Okay it's just us hard core fans here. Who thinks this is the last US tour? Honestly, I don't know. They never cease to amaze me. I've been a hardcore fan since 73 or 74. To me the odds say yes but the stones history and work ethic says no. I would rather go against the odds and say no - so I will say no.

In the end, the stones via their promoters, will go where they can maximize profit. Detroit is nice, Chicago is nice and Omaha is nice but what is the $$$ return? The band has many fans in every city. We kid ourselves if we think anything but money brings our band to a particular town. The key members of the stones will be 72, we need To just accept and travel to see them without complaining. To p

I would be shocked if they ever played Rough Justice or High wire again. Maybe We will get some rarely played nuggets from Sticky Fingers in the set due to the expanded addition currently in the works. I think they have played every song on The album at one time or another.

One interesting thing we did learn is Bob reads his reviews - which surprises me. To me his speech had much the same feel as his writing style within his book.

Interesting speech must have been the longest he has ever spoken. He does Not compromise his values and draws a distinct line between right and wrong. Friendship combined with loyalty is obviously important to him.

Quoteliddas Strange that on Mick's solo records there is not one guitar part of his that comes close to his work with the stones. C I agree 100%. Also his solo efforts lack the same "soul" as the stones efforts. Mick was trying to create something different than the stones sound - so I get it.

QuoteNaturalust Moonlight Mile and Sway for sure! Seems he plays better when Keith isn't around. peace I have listened to these two tunes hundreds of times and never computed Mick was on guitar. I do remember all of Sway was recorded at Stargroves without Keith. Maybe I should read the liner notes like the good old days (pre IPod)! Both tunes are excellent.

QuoteNaturalust I don't think there's a curse. That is superstitious and rather ridiculous. All those great players died for reasons that have little to do with black magic. Yes it's rather sad and tragic that some when before they should have, but seeing this as a curse related to the Stones? I guess you believe Anita had something to do with it too? What's next a Beatles g

Quotetreaclefingers I was watching both Mac and Stu in the 81 Hampton video and was struck how hard that particular position is on musicians. OK, I'll take the bait...how exactly is it 'hard' on a musician, as compared to any other instrument, drums for example? "Hard" not in the physical sense but in the lifespan sense. I had completely Overlooked Billy Preston and
